Wikipedians are struggling with finding a "neutral" / "objective" answer to this one.

I also gave my standard "WP:Canvassing is a stupid policy" speech:

I've just noticed that pro-Chinese-unity editor Quigley has recently invoked his Right to Vanish. Perhaps he wants new account and a clean slate so no one would recognize him for his pro-PRC stance. He probably went into stealth mode.

Quigley un-vanished himself and is back as "Shrigley". This isn't the first time Shrigley has his account renamed. He was formerly known as "Splittist":

Shrigley was also formerly known as "WilliamWater":

I wonder what caused him to vanish in the first place?
