As the world gasps at the absurdity of Durova’s evidence against the “ripened sock” User:!!
http://www.wikitruth.info/index.php?title=...Sekret_Evidence let’s not overlook another allegation of sockpuppetry, this one infinitely more compelling, involving not a purported WR troll, but the respected administrator FeloniousMonk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Req....B7_contribs.29 Now, I’ve absolutely nothing against FeloniousMonk. I recall him as a reasonable and capable administrator, who in this instance appears to be standing up to classic POV-pushing. He probably just lost it faced with the futility of a system in which content is decided by edit-warring and numbers, and, yes, sockpuppets on all sides (most of whom, it should be emphasized, are home-grown and have nothing to do with WR or trolls.) But the fact is that FM has sockpuppeted, not due to privacy concerns or to escape harassment, but to gain an upper hand in a content dispute through work/home tag-teaming - the most classic and indisputably abusive use of socks. And the Arbitration Committee does nothing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Req...Community_urged Is it that they’re too clueless to confidently arrive at a decision, even with all this evidence (to which much more might be added?) Is it that they(like me, and probably many of us here) agree with the content FM and his sockpuppet User:Odd nature is pushing? Or is it that, as a well-regarded administrator, FM’s misbehavior has been willfully overlooked? This post has been edited by Proabivouac: Sun 25th November 2007, 7:44am |

Looking at the workshop page, where the only people who don't support further investigation do so yelling "BURN TEH WITCHES THAT DARE SUGGEST THIS"... I suspect Arbcom doesn't want to deal with the repercussions that actually investigating would bring. The dispute resolution process really shouldn't be beholden to whoever can scream the loudest, but it's not surprising that it is.

Felonious Monk is the one who left this beauty of a message in the MONGO RFC:
QUOTE This RFC has been useful only insofar as it provides us list of all the ED-aligned nogoodniks who need to be watched and dealt with. Thanks! FeloniousMonk (talk) 04:41, 18 November 2007 (UTC) He also took part in this clique pile-on last year where a bunch of SlimVirgin's buddies beat up on somebody who was pointing out a legitimate copyright issue with an image she was using on her user page. Here, he said: QUOTE What I've seen here is very one-sided bullying and intimidation of SV over a petty, contrived issue, and it's going to stop, Kelly included. FeloniousMonk 05:03, 29 May 2006 (UTC) (at the tail end of a one-sided bullying and intimidation by Slim and friends against the originator of the discussion, where Kelly Martin had tried to step in and tell everybody to cool it). The incident you describe above is beautifully detailed by the one piled upon, at Everything Shii Knows. FeloniousMonk lies about me, saying that I was bullying and intimidating SlimVirgin: "What I've seen here is very one-sided bullying and intimidation of SV over a petty, contrived issue." Read that page closely. I never attacked SlimVirgin. I never made a single comment about her character. I had no ulterior motive; my motive was to delete a copyright violation that could potentially get Wikipedia, or SlimVirgin, sued. I was trying to help her. This is not a two-sided argument. It is three people attacking, and one person saying "eek!". |

FeloniousMonk is an admin we should have "reviewed" long ago.
First: s/he was nominated for admin by......SlimVirgin, who even earned one of her first barnstars (from Tomer) for her "amazing patience and hard work and perseverance in helping to get people, including ardent opponents, to recognize FeloniousMonk's merits as an admin candidate". Indeed. I have not followed FM´s editing in main space, but I have followed his comments on AN, AN/I and 3RR. Basically, when SlimVirgin or Jayjg reports anything, FM supports it. Always. He has not made many blocks, but what is amazing is that they A: are always made on the request of Slim or Jay, and B: (some of them) are highly controversial. Typically he swoops into AN/3RR and blocks any person Slim or Jay has reported, ***while ignoring all other reports*** (This, unlike "regular admin workers" on the 3RR page, who start at the top report and "work" their way down the page.) Often his block is after such a short time that he cannot possibly have reviewed the evidence. In short, he has been acting like a personal hangman for Slim and Jay. Some examples: in 3RR archive #35 : he makes only one block, and that one is highly controversial: User:Kendrick7 reported by SlimVirgin , where User:Kendrick7 is blocked by Tawker, unblocked Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington , and then reblocked by FeloMonk in 3RR archive #46 : he makes exactly two blocks, where the first block (of G-Dett) is highly controversial: G-Dett reported by SlimVirgin, blocked by FeloMonk after 20 minutes Gerash77 reported by Jayjg, blocked by FeloMonk Noteworthy are also his blocks of user:PalestineRemembered, reported by Jayjg; PR´s very first block was for one month....after about 10 minutes "investigations" by FeloMonk! PR reported by Jayjg, 1st block by FeloMonk PR again reported by Jayjg, 2nd block by FeloMonk However: 3rd time unlucky for FeloMonk ...and Jay Another example: IncidentArchive266: user:Kitrus......reported by Jay, warned by SV, blocked by FeloniousMonk, supported by Crum This post has been edited by The Adversary: Wed 28th November 2007, 9:53am |

Getting back to Tarantino's speculation that Odd Nature is either a sock-puppet or meat-puppet of FeloniousMonk who is also known as Skip on Blogger, there is this item of evidence that Odd Nature is intimately familiar with the two blogs that Skip was trolling...
QUOTE I'm strongly opposed to un-banning Moulton. Not only is he a colossal time-waster pushing his personal POV on articles and their talk pages, he's been waging an anti-Wikipedia campagain at his blogs, and is outing the IPs of anyone who mentions his ban at Wikipedia. Not to mention his joining forces with Larry Fafarman, another banned anti-Wikipedia nutter, at his blog. Is this the sort of editor Wikipedia needs? No. A million times, no. Considering you have in wikipeida the fact there is no way you can inforce the anti-sock rule with the anonymous nature of wik accounts any way. Most often, it's just the dumb sockpuppets that get caught anyway. This leads to, by way of evolutionary process, smarter and harder to detect ones. Unless, of course you're a popular admin, or a friend of one. Then good evidence is is ignored or swept under the rug. It's a classic case of WP phrasing: "...outing the IPs of anyone who mentions his ban at Wikipedia."
So now you can "out" an IP address? What's next, "outing" the serial numbers on dollar bills with dirty words scrawled on them, or "outing" the VIN numbers of cars who take up two parking spaces at public garages? And it certainly wasn't "anyone who mentions his ban"; it was more like "two people who went out of their way to personally insult him and question his personal and professional integrity." This is putting aside the fact that this is a classic case of what Nobs once called "ideological profiling" in the first place, actually one of the more egregious we've seen. Moulton comes to the defense of a colleague who signed a petition that might arguably be considered pro-ID, and suddenly he's a "raving ID proponent" himself, according to these people? Ridiculous. He's an opponent of character assassination. These goons were adding entire paragraphs to all sorts of BLP articles about how the subjects had signed this petition, in some cases doubling the length of those articles by doing so. It was a blatantly obvious example of using WP as a revenge platform, and for what? Signing a petition? That's McCarthyism, plain and simple. I personally think ID is a very bad joke, but these are definitely not the sort of people I want to be lumped in with if I'm going to argue against it in public. |

Thuggery operates at the bottom-most rung of the Kohlberg Ladder of Moral Amen bro, sing it clear.... sing it loud... Sing it true!!! Wikpeida is just a wild west of thuggery and a cyber nihilistic simulation of the Gladiatorial games of Rome. Or in the fine words of a Wiki noob, who was shown WP:LOVE and WP:TRUTH and WP:CULTOF JIMBO way, Dr. David Hill, Chief Executive of the WIF to Professor Carl Edwin Lindgren of FWIF. QUOTE Dear Carl, Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately we have had a very, very bad experience with Wikipedia and their so-called sensor editors (Wikipedians), which appear with our experience to be quite draconian. For your further information this situation has happened only recently and over the last three months. In this respect because the WIF's work as an independent adviser is so sensitive we cannot say much and therefore these people at Wikipedia castigated our organization. Indeed, to a great extent we are an invisible organization due to these truths. Therefore we decided to ask them to remove the information on their website due to these circumstances. They even questioned our president and others together with our Nobel laureate members. Therefore we shall not unfortunately be listing anything with Wikipedia for the above reasons. But, if you visit Answers.com you will see what was listed, but which now as I have stated, unfortunately is no longer. Since having an involvement with the Wikipedia we have had communications with some people who regard it as extremely sensitized, and could be viewed not as a reference for pure knowledge but an organization that blocks quite a great deal of information - mostly those who are trying to do good work around the world and not for financial reward but for others. This may seem very strange, as I too thought that before this unhappy episode, Wikipedia would be an asset for humankind. I am very doubtful now, possibly skeptical and where this web resource may not be all that it appears to be. I am sorry to send you such a reply and where several of the WIF's Fellows list their association with WIF in this web encyclopedia that you cite. The irony is that the Wikipedia Project on Intelligent Design is also given to their own brand of draconian tactics to push their own unfathomable agenda. If FeloniousMonk works for IBM, then Odd Nature (aka the Blogger, Skip) is only a meat-puppet rather than a sock-puppet of FeloniousMonk, since Skip posts from Macy's San Francisco Operations Center.

Nope. "Skip" posts via the Macy's smtp, but Macy's get's its web services from "IBM Global Services". Which is where Lar works. Macy's network connection loops via IBM global services backbone near DC. "Both" Lar and FM work for IBM Global Services as a IT consultant.
