Boring. Could someone write the following on the RFA or something like it?: QUOTE Oppose. I cannot quite explain it, but there is something about the user's contributions. It reminds me of a previously banned editor's editing patterns. I cannot place it, but I will do some more research and return with more evidence in the next few days. Be advised, I may be away during much of the duration of the RFA due to real world concerns, but I assure you all, I will bring evidence to my suspicions as soon as possible. Please assume good faith. ~~~~ Then, and only then, one can have a dramatic RFA. Surely, MZMcBride has made enemies with his bot army? Time for some narcissistic wounding! But, Somey has stated on the NuclearWarfare RFA thread that we really shouldn't bring up RFA's for the purposes of sport. However, an analysis of this RFA, or any RFA, can yield clues to the underlying problems of Wikipedia. That is, if we can keep the thread on such a topic and not "ZOMG! FRIDAY HATS KIDZ AND MZMCBRIDE!" or similar. Perhaps the sound and fury that caused MZMcBride to resign will not come back to haunt him and the WP Community is capable of forgiveness... or revenge!?! Can RFA help us to look into the very soul of Wikipedia?

During his previous stint as an admin, MZMcBride deleted 804945 pages, three and a half times more than his nearest competitor East718. It is surprising that more of his victims have not opposed his request.

QUOTE(Nerd @ Thu 27th August 2009, 9:37pm) I think people should at least wait a bit before posting RFAs here.
I don't fault Ahypori for creating this discussion - based on MZM's last RfA and his rambunctious history with the mop, I was expecting some roller derby action. Instead, it is quite the love-in, with relatively little dissent. For that matter, NW's second RfA was also the polar opposite of the first go-round. I expected some more elbow-to-the-jaw action there, but outside of grouchy Friday there was no tumult. So what is it? Do RfA regulars have incredibly short memories? Does time heal all wounds? Or did MZM and NW successfully game the system prior to their return engagements?

I think MZMcBride did some self-reflection and made a genuine change for the better. I used to think he was a right ass (and he probably had the same opinion of me =), but now we get along swimmingly. Here's a pretty dumb comment: QUOTE Oppose - I don't like you.!! (being honest here; unlike the others above me who gave dumb reasons for opposing you instead of coming out clean and saying what I just said) ..--Warpath (talk) 05:31, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

QUOTE(Shalom @ Fri 28th August 2009, 10:43pm) QUOTE(Anonymous editor @ Fri 28th August 2009, 10:31am) The RFA system This is beyond corruption This is beyond baseball Back then it was a relatively small community who felt that they knew each other, so a simple "I'd like to be an admin please" followed by your mates saying "Yeah, we'd like you to be an admin too" was arguably OK. That's a million miles from what RfA is today though, or ought to be today.
