I wonder how many subpages he has. I bet it's more than 99.99% of all editors. Around 360 subpages. That's almost 3 times as many as FT2. That is ridiculous. Good gawd. What in the hell does anyone need with that many pages? And people MFD my BRC page. Give me a break. |

Take a look at this page... http://www.loveaccess.com/personals/filll Is this our Filll? How many of the details match what we know? Are any of the details suggestive of a mismatch or mistaken identity? Moulton He's dishy, and he has a sense of humour. Which, no offence to Filll, I've not personally seen in his writings. How can you tell he has a sense of humor from that profile? Because he said so? lol Oh, for Christ sake. There's no reason to dig up shit like this. It's pointless and vindictive. Serves no meaningful purpose and you know it. Everyone knows I have nothing but disdain for Filll, but digging up irrelevant links and posting them is just pathetic. He posted a dating profile, big deal. Who cares? Go do something productive. Oh, for Christ sake. Shut up and get off the intenetz and study the American Revolution - so when you have children you do not pass on the sins/misinformation of your father. Such as "White pride" = American pride. *cough* This post has been edited by Janron: Mon 7th July 2008, 6:05am |

I have about 6 or something ![]() That does it, that calls for a way to redirect wikipedia user pages to an off-wiki wiki. The off-wiki wiki is what is not Wikipedia - not being not in mainspace Wikipedia. Then one can add loads of pages to their off-wiki wiki, or even host their own off-wiki wiki. Yep, that is my new personal agenda against Wikipedia and all articles I have or will edit -- to campaign for decentralized technology for off-wiki wiki. Seeing the above stats only gives justification for it that no admin and no ArbCom member has a right to stop the campaign, or may they wikiwiki recuse themselves! |

Nope, wasn't a threat. More like "I can see this backfiring really badly, and I would hope you wouldn't That's a great example of an anankastic conditional, where you can't tell if it's a scientific prediction by a keen observer or a remark by a menacing bully who intends to personally visit harsh consequences for deviating from the indicated guidance. |

"I can see this backfiring really badly, and I would hope you wouldn't Either some words have been omitted from the end, or it's an odd wish. Ah. Love it when you think you've finished a thought, you haven't, and then you hit post. "I can see this backfiring really badly, and I would hope you wouldn't. It gives the ID editors free reign to say "We're only bad because these guys are worse, and it's the only way to deal with them". Yes, an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. While it's not universal, enough folks look for whichever side has the moral highground in contentious areas, that it's always useful to have." |

I wonder how many subpages he has. I bet it's more than 99.99% of all editors. Around 360 subpages. That's almost 3 times as many as FT2. 360 subpages and no math edits. From a supposed mathematical physicist. The kind of wonk who is more mathematician than physicist, in a field which is mostly math anyway. Riiiiight. If I hadn't seen this guy's photo off his personal add, I'd think it was the return of Essjay academic bullshit, because this guy really does claim to be an MIT alum-- that wasn't just talking about Moulton. And maybe it is Essjay, with a fake photo (gak). As it is, I think we've all been totally had by Filll, Essjay-style. A mathematician can no more help putting on skillful LaTeX than a professional hooker, and yet I even I have put more math into Wikipedia than Filll has, and I have no special talent at it (not of the sort that anybody doing graduate physics needs). So. Some guy with degrees in the softer sciences. As in biology. Forget some guy who puts hydrodynamics code into the weather supercomputers. While writing 360 subpages on biologists and anti-ID. Nope. Maybe he teaches biology at Bowie State College or some program in Maryland http://www.enviroeducation.com/states/mary...s-programs.html. Knows a lot of biology and something of evolutionary theory. Interest in climate is probably in drowning polar bears, and that's about it. More into quantitative taxonomy, which is about the kind of math that biologists do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Filll/Qu...kipedia_Editors Postmodernists tend not to be mathematical physicists So. No thrill. I looked for Filll As a physicist shill If Orange Marlins ate krill Nature'd be Odd, too. My hunt stood still For Chihuahuas to kill And lingered until The math fell through. ![]() This post has been edited by Milton Roe: Tue 8th July 2008, 6:13am |

You just don't see musicians not editing music. It's not so much an "area of professional expertise" as a primary language. As though somebody whose primary language was French had decided to edit only in English. It could happen, but would be perverse. Even if you're not in a place where la Commission de la protection de la langue française might come for you in the middle of the night. ![]() |

While I certainly wonder if Filll is what he claims, I doubt he edits in his primary area of expertise. Was taxwoman a mathematician? Math is like music. You just don't see musicians not editing music. Was?!? Yes, she has a degree in maths. As a mathematician myself, and (I'm told) a competent pianist, I can't understand the second bit at all. I have edited a few maths articles, but not much, and very little music. His main purpose at Wikipedia appears to be waging war against beliefs he considers unscientific, and not sharing knowledge. Actually, that's not a bad thing in principle (provided you're right, of course); correcting palpable errors is just as important to an encyclopaedia as adding fresh information. |

His main purpose at Wikipedia appears to be waging war against beliefs he considers unscientific, and not sharing knowledge. Actually, that's not a bad thing in principle (provided you're right, of course); correcting palpable errors is just as important to an encyclopaedia as adding fresh information. The irony is that Filll (and his allies in the IDCab) adopt and employ unscientific practices in their vigilance against beliefs that they do not embrace. One of the tenets of the Scientific Method is that one regards all hypotheses with a skeptical eye, and carefully examines the evidence and reasoning for any and all competing explanations of an observed phenomenon. In particular, it is essential to examine one's own most-favored beliefs in that analytic and objective manner. To paraphrase Socrates, the unexamined point of view is not worth pushing. Among Filll's allies, Hrafn fervently believes in the WP:HodgePodge of WP:Rules. And Filll believes in the RfC approach to determining a would-be editor's qualifications to participate in the project. Given that RfC/Moulton was a shameful reprise of the Spammish Inquisition, it occurs to me that Filll's modus operandi resembles that of Pope Urban more than that of Galileo. |
