QUOTE(Joey @ Thu 6th July 2006, 1:48pm) Topic excluded from Wikipedia might be directed to his for-profit Wikia pages, where he can earn profit by use of Google ads. He might be inclined to promote policies that exclude content from Wikipedia knowing such excluded content may be accepted at his for-profit Wiki. That's another good point - as Wikipedia's growth rate starts to slow down, moving the heavy-action topics (along with their more heated arguments) to another site that's been carrying Google ads from the start is definitely a good business move. I just took a look at the Recent Changes over there, and it's already more active there than most of the minor wikis I've seen, and there's no shortage of partisanship either. No doubt that will be encouraged there, if only for that reason. I might also add that launching the site on the Fourth of July strikes me as a rather cynical, not to mention blatantly opportunistic, thing to do.
