IRC and Wikipedia are by de jure separate entities. Problems with IRC should not extend to Wikipedia. The IRC bouncers can just ban him if they wish or, as suggested on wiki, the IRC people can ignore him. Perhaps someone on Wikipedia would like to remind RyanGerbil of this?

Kurt deserves to be banned from IRC, but that's because he's openly disruptive there. However, I've never seen any need to ban him from Wikipedia. He shouldn't hold any role of authority there, but his own conduct seems more than sufficient to prevent that.

No, I wasn't--as evidenced by the fact that no one's had a problem with my participating in the AC election (which takes place in the project namespace) and in fact at least one involved person has come out and said it's fine.

The ArbCom elections are exempt from any parole. I think it's one of the Everyking decisions.
