So says Wikipedia, anyway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casta%C3%B1eda. But even in Portuguese it's Castanheda, not the reverse Castenada (e first then a), the latter being a something I cannot find as a variant, in any language. Writing "Castenada" looks like a typical English failure to pay attention to the vowels, which nobody would do in either Spanish or Portuguese would do. So yes, an obvious spoofed name. Not too many people make types typoes doing their own name (they've typed it so much). Or fail to see them, when editing.

Wikipedia gives the name dervation as "Chestnut." In Portuguese the last two names are usually family names, mother's family first and father's last (the reverse of Spanish).

The New York Daily News published... uh... a free-lance article I submitted... and it was the start of a very nice career and—obviously I'm not twenty years old anymore but—I've been at it for some time and I enjoy it..."

You are quite right (damn: now I had to listen to the whole boring thing) : he did say "lets circle back..I´m twenty years old.."...in other words, he is kind of "reliving" the time.

The whole video-snip is best for those with insomnia, however...
