http://wikipediareview.com/chat/
(also linked from "Live Chat" at the top)
Does it work? I can't test it, stuck behind firewall

hmmm, ok. Actually, I'll set it as the main one to that channel and to *also* join #wikipedia

That way people have more of a chance of seeing suspicious goings on in there and posting about em

Just a small suggestion. I think the channel should be #wikipediareview rather than #thewikipediareview, since the domain name is wikipedia review and it might confuse some people. As for also joining #wikipedia, I don't know if that's a good idea. Wikipedia might not approve of such a thing, and it might be more trouble than its worth.

Okay. Glad we got in www.wikipediareview.com then. Did they register it because of this? That's a bit scary.

Maybe we should register http://www.thewikipediareview.com/ as well then just to be sure.

Oh and the link doesn't work, at least not for me.

I already told you two months ago that Wikimedia had registered wikipediareview the day after I mentioned it.

But, of course, they aren't trying to censor us...

I see no reason why we should enter #wikipedia. Myself, I refuse to go in there any more; I've been in the channel a total of two times, and the level of incivility and trollitude was sufficient that I am loathe to enter there a third time. Because of my involvement with this board, I am no longer a cabal-approved member, so I could reasonably expect much trolling diected at me.

Also, most of the time my computer is even on, I am connected to freenode. If I'm not in the channel, you should be able to reach me by /msg. I use the handle Blu_Aardvark.

Lol. Actually, they had a very practical reason for not wanting us to use that particular channel. Not necessarily to censor us, but definately to make our voice less likely to be heard. See, if our channel was #wikipediareview, it would show up in the channel list, if sorted alphabetically, right among the #wikipedia official channels. And heaven forbid someone would come to IRC, see #wikipediareview, and actually learn something.
