Funny in parts, but mostly made me want to cry.

That seems to be the same problem with any Web 2.0 site.

I would not be surprised to learn that the average Redditor is from the same cohort
as the average Wikipedia Jimbo-lover -- a teenaged boy or college-age man who
has a lot of free time, an ego as big as Texas, and little or no clue about what he's
doing. Plus a massive intolerance of opposing viewpoints. Individually those guys are
harmless (except to people they get into personal arguments with), but herd them into
a website that allows MMORPG-like behaviour, and the result is that thread.

Done, but it's really difficult to get something well-upvoted on Reddit, unless you
are a "player" who obsessively posts and gets lots of attention.
