More proof that Tarantino is actually David Shankbone, as many of us have long suspected...
QUOTE Huffington Post the future of journalism? Not when they are so easily scammed by “Stefan de Rothschild” By David Shankbone A guy that the Huffington Post claims is part of the famed Rothschild family is actually an impostor. Apparently, all it takes to blog there is to claim a pedigree and build a bunch of fake websites with Moonfruit: check out HuffPo’s “Stefan de Rothschild“... And not even so much as a link back to WR! ![]() |

Considering a couple of days passed between Tarantino's initial posting here and the Shankbone version, it appears that Mr. Miller is an active reader of WR and decided to "borrow" the information. The notion that Tarantino and Shankbone are sharing a toothbrush is utterly ridiculous. |

Considering a couple of days passed between Tarantino's initial posting here and the Shankbone version, it appears that Mr. Miller is an active reader of WR and decided to "borrow" the information. The notion that Tarantino and Shankbone are sharing a toothbrush is utterly ridiculous. ![]() I hope that is the case, for Mr. Tarantino's sake...Did anybody else notice that Shankers failed to mention using fake Wikipedia pages for spoofing in his brilliant coverage? Meanwhile, back on Facebook, Mr. de Rothschild has founded a new page for the Rothschild Global Foundation. QUOTE The Rothschild Global Foundation has one simple aim: to make the impossible possible. We work to facilitate sustained improvement in living conditions, health and education to the global community. Mission: The chances are you've never been truly hungry. Hungry after days of not eating. Chances are that you never really been ill. When was the last time you couldn't phone 911 in an emergency? Chances are you can read and write. Chances are you could probably secure a small loan if you wanted to start a business or help provide for your family. The reason you can do all this is simple. It is the same reason that you were born where you were, and why you're where you are today. Chance. Over a billion people around the world don't have a chance. They don't have a chance to help themselves out of poverty. To help their families, their communities and their nations out of impossible situations. So our mission is simple. To make the impossible possible. We work to facilitate sustained improvement in living conditions, health and education to the global community. But we aren't a charity that's too big to function. We have big goals but we're achieving them with localized, effective solutions. We believe that innovation comes not through enormous multinational schemes and projects, but through simple affordable things that will work to feed, care for or educate a village, but can be implemented in villages all around the world. This strategy - to combat global problems with simple solutions has already helped over 5 million people get educated to a 5th grade level. It has provided over $200 million dollars worth of health care, including HIV/AIDS medicine and malaria vaccines, to those who cannot afford it. And it has fed over 30 million people, and helped over five thousand small businesses start in rural communities. Together, with the help of the millions around the world who are so desperate to escape poverty and provide themselves and their families a better life, we can achieve something great. We can achieve the impossible. Now, do the real Rothschilds know about this clown and what he's up to? Also, I noticed that Tarantino's Huffpo comment didn't get through their moderation process. I wonder what that means? |

A comment about Davos and Master de Rothschild on one of the Reuters blogs :
QUOTE Update: The Oath doesn’t just have a website, it also has a Twitter feed! Thanks to that, we can all now rest reassured that Stefan de Rothschild (typical tweet here) has accepted the Global Business Oath. |

Too late, Huffpo figures it out : QUOTE Editor's Note: On February 1st, it came to our attention that this blogger had misrepresented himself and was blogging under a false identity, part of an elaborate online hoax. As a result, his work will no longer be published on HuffPost, and his previous pieces have been removed. Now, if they could just tie in the whole Lee Dennison business we'd have a real story here! This is too funny... Man, you just have to wonder how far this guy could have gotten if it weren't for us darned kids (à la Scooby-doo....) |

This guy is Stefan Rothschild. The other guy is Stefan de Rothschild. The de changes everything. It's not even the same name, really... Yes, the "de" makes it all so French doesnt it? But this noble French family was originally from Germany so the "de" isnt original. The name means "Red shield" in German. And the English branch of the family doesnt use "de" either. |

But this noble French family was originally from Germany so the "de" isnt original. The name means "Red shield" in German. And the English branch of the family doesnt use "de" either. The French Rothschilds were made barons by Emperor Francis I of Austria in 1822, in the aftermath of the Napoleonic wars. That's where the "de" comes from. Yes, it means quite a bit in these here parts.... If this guy hadn't used the "de", it might have been a little less obvious....but he still got caught. From the Valleywag comments : QUOTE Despite his network of web sites, this guy doesn't really seem to have been trying all that hard. For instance, based on an extremely quick Google, significant chunks (and perhaps ALL) of the primary text on his RothschildArts.org site was lifted without modification from the Warhol Foundation web site. Even the little press release about the re-design of the site, crediting LA-based firm Hello Design, was lifted directly from the Warhol Foundation. I'm not sure if the De Rothschilds will think it's worth their while to address this guy, but I'm guessing that the Warhol Foundation and Hello Design might be willing to take him on . . |

He's also blogged there as Stefan Roberts and was once known as His Excellency Lord Stefan Roberts of Jersey. I tried to point this out as a comment there, but I fear it will forever be "awaiting moderation". Maybe valleywag would enjoy getting a dig in at Huff. Hmmm, Tarantino mentions alerting Valleywag and soon a story appears which features David Shankbone. I mean, come on, do I have to connect the dots? Tarantino=Shankbone!! I'm just surprised he didn't get a picture credit for the shot of Stefan Roberts! |

At risk of being stupidly blunt in the middle of light comic banter (I know), it's certainly evidence of Shankbone's lack of integrity to fail to mention his sources and thereby take credit himself. ![]() He actually did mention Wikipedia Review: QUOTE The Huffington Post was contacted by members of the Wikipedia Review, who caught on when Wikipedia was continually deleting the fake biographies of both Stefan Roberts and Stefan de Rothschild, and also Stefan’s fake father “Andrew de Rothschild” (here’s that discussion – worth a read). However, HuffPo still has him up. What he didn't do was link to the discussion where it would have been obvious that all his evidence originated there. The "here's that discussion" links to the WP AN/I thread, not to here. |

Off of the Valleywag comments :
QUOTE Image of lil red lil red 02/01/10 Not to be off topic, but I know of a fake Rockefeller who used a screen grab of his removed Wikipedia entry to continue to support his loose "implication" in heritage. He is pretty crafty in how he has gotten away with it, in that it is his true last name, and merely implies he is related by his loose associations, business associates and the claims of those he has associated with. Eventually it caught up with him, and Wikipedia took it down, but not before he did his screen grab to post on his own website. I am curious how Wikipedia feels about people using entries removed with screen grabs on other sites? So, Wikipedia : we've had "Lee Dennison", "Stefan de Rothschild" and now a fake Rockefeller. So, how do you feel about this? (PS: my favorite comment off of Valleywag: QUOTE I've been using Adolph de Rothschild, but sometimes I get funny looks. Any advice? |

Some analysis of this via a blog :
QUOTE The important part is that the guy was a faker, and although no journalist caught it, he was busted when he caught the attention of Wikipedia reviewers who noticed he kept putting the same fake pages up on the encyclopedia I’ve linked to four times in this post. I've already pointed out to this guy that he's got the wrong "wikipedia reviewers" here...and also to point out the "Lee Dennison" incident.... |

If you think David Shankbone would have scooped a story on Wikipedia Review, then waited a couple of days to rehash it on his own blog property, then you don't know David very well. If Tarantino is Shankbone, then it would have been the other way around. You're embarrassing yourself, Carbuncle, as badly as or worse than I did last night with my "1929 minus 1912" subtraction problem. |

Stefan Roberts is back with a sequel. This time his story centers on David Gad-Leopold Rothschild, who recently inherited $40 billion from his late mother Elizabeth (Esther) Ann-Marie Sassoon. Wikifiddlers caught on to some but not all of it, while Freebasers prove to be less vigilant. Dozens of free press releases were also deployed, which were then regurgitated thousands of times.
Henry Kissinger comments at this story, "David Gad de Rothschild is very creative, and we can all expect unprecedented moves in the financial sector. Intelligent, intellectual and creative." This post has been edited by tarantino: Tue 3rd August 2010, 9:31pm |
