A quick glance shows no one even had the courtesy to tell him, or leave a note on his talk page. He's been deadminned for... amicably resolving the Carolyn Doran page with other admins?

Or has he been shit canned for indirectly or accidentally sticking his finger in Jimbo's/the Foundation Board's eye?

Un-fired, per Jimbo:

http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?titl...out370%40enwiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...oldid=177949927

I wonder if Jimbo and Arbcom realized it was a stupid request from the Arbcom, since it wasn't a wheel war, or just how bad it looked to sanction someone over [[Carolyn Doran]]?

Why does Dmcdevit get a say in who gets deadminned?

I see you have already noticed, but I desysopped you for wheel warring over the Doran article, per the request of Dmcdevit and three other ArbCom members who were online at the time. It’s up to the ArbCom whether or not this is temporary, I assume. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 20:50, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

User:Zscout370, where have I seen that before?

EDIT: Oh, I remember, the Miltopia incident:

QUOTE

# 12:53, 29 October 2007 Jimbo Wales (Talk | contribs) changed rights for User:Zscout370 from (none) to sysop ‎ (Problem completely resolved)
# 18:59, 28 October 2007 Jimbo Wales (Talk | contribs) changed rights for User:Zscout370 from sysop to (none) ‎ (wheel warring - I will restore your adminship myself in a week's time assuming we talk and all goes well)

He'd probably done a checkuser that revealed that Zscout was a sock of Runcorn.

If stealth moves (presumably coordinated back-channel) can reach as high up the totem pole as sysop status, imagine how much stealth activity must be occurring down at the bottom of the dominance hierarchy.

HI, BRAD!!!

Glad to see a future ArbCom member is a WR reader. Then again, now that you've admitted this, you will probably get a sudden inexplicable rush of 300 oppose votes... sorry...

As to the topic... does this mean ZScout730 will be deadminned briefly again in early February, keeping to a six-week cycle? smile.gif

Well geez. If you make it illegal to criticize Wikipedia management, OF COURSE we become the primary source of accurate information.

Hurt's 'don't it?'

I thought that Runcorn was really Durova.

But what do I know. unsure.gif

No - outlaw critical sites, and everyone finds them interesting.

Besides the fact that this is where the truth is. smile.gif

They even admit that this is where they learn most things. Wikitruth doesn't move anywhere near as fast as WR.

An interesting thing, here. Dmcdevit swears that "three arbitrators" asked for Zscout to be desysopped.

If this was a decision they stand by, why won't they name themselves now?

Well, after the shitstorm on IRC about this - it was pretty obvious that an overturn was in place. Basically the entire admins channel was going "wtf"

Shades of Durova.

Did the "message of agreement" get passed around on a special sekrit list? smile.gif

I guess this means "badsites" has morphed into "badnews"?
