WMUK now has http://blog.wikimedia.org.uk/, the latest two are Daria Cybulska: Events Organiser and Stevie Benton: Communications Organiser.
Daria Cybulska came second at the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Philosophy_Olympiad in 2007, that's sure to be a help in her new role.
