Do you want me to clean out my sock drawer? IPs, accounts, everything as much as I can remember and reconstruct. I can't promise everything because I don't have a list hand, but I can reconstruct almost all of it. I'll post a list if and only if I receive ten or more "Yes" responses in the poll. QUOTE(Shalom @ Fri 30th July 2010, 6:15pm) I'll post a list if and only if I receive ten or more "Yes" responses in the poll. (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/biggrin.gif) It doesn't look like the poll's heading that way, but what if you got 10 yes and say 15 nos? You'd be obliged to post the list, yet you'd know that a majority of people didn't want you to?

QUOTE(Jon Awbrey @ Mon 2nd August 2010, 9:42pm) QUOTE(Shalom @ Mon 2nd August 2010, 9:37pm) Jon and Barry - why is this boring?
Don't you want to know all the stunts I've pulled on Wikipedia? Don't you want a chance to induct me into the sockpuppeteers hall of fame?
The few I bothered to sample were pretty lame 1-off-ers — is that all you got? If you had any live ones left, the sock de gras would be to fork them over as PACMAN accounts. Jon (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/sleep.gif) I don't have any sleepers. Everything is either blocked or if not blocked, has its userpage redirected to my most recent alias, Chutznik (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Except for "Gym bow Whales" which has no edits and I forgot the password. I had some much more interesting socking activities starting in August 2008. Stay tuned, it will get better.

If you are not on Verizon, are you able to use SSH in Linux? I intended to start over as "Buki ben Yogli" and become an admin under a "clean start." Then I forgot the password so I started a new account, "Storkynoob". Then I received a new password by email to bukibenyogli@gmail.com (bring on the spambots, I don't care). By then I had already started to slide down the proverbial slippery slope. A month later, Sam Korn bangs the hammer Buki ben Yogli (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Storkynoob (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Wow Caninaro (T-C-L-K-R-D)
La vite crab (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Tornado Shark (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Bone killing ox (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Bone crunching cow (T-C-L-K-R-D)
Extra points if you can state the connection between Wow Caninaro, La vite crab, and Tornado Shark. Crystal whacker (T-C-L-K-R-D)
survived the sting. I edited from "Crystal whacker" from a school IP address accessible to thousands of students, and Sam could not be certain that it was I. The other accounts (possibly except for Storkynoob) edited from my home. My IP addresses were: 24.186.165.121Â (T-C-L-K-R-D)
129.49.7.125Â (T-C-L-K-R-D)
129.49.51.50Â (T-C-L-K-R-D)
There are some juicy block logs to admire. I'll have more later.

QUOTE(The Joy @ Tue 3rd August 2010, 6:13pm) Have you considered going on anti-anxiety medication, Shalom? Pardon my bluntness, but no sane person would be so obsessed with a website.
Anti-anxiety medications have their drawbacks. I agree he's obsessed, and it's alarming. Imagine if there were an entire web forum obsessed with the antics of a website. It could be populated by some real strange characters. (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/fear.gif)

QUOTE(A Horse With No Name @ Wed 4th August 2010, 1:14am) Nice name!!! Yes, I once attempted an unbanning on the ground that the account name was too good to lose but the humorless twats just could see the value in that. I suppose we could just go on the rampaging to use up as many good of the good names as possible leaving impossible to remember telephone number or encryption key style monickers ... When I cannot think of who to be, I often just use the Wikipedia's own password generator which, sometimes, is surprising perspicacious. This is genuine and worthy enough of a screenshot, I thought. I still think this is all a terrible waste of resources shalom and so if you have any good unblocked and untraceable ones, let us know off forum.

QUOTE(Cock-up-over-conspiracy @ Tue 3rd August 2010, 8:58pm) A quick search taught me there are plenty of nice name generators out there including this one just ripe for your average role playing Wikipedian ... http://www.allanime.org/?207Hmm, clever. What cracks me up about All Anime: in 2006, they voted the girl from Elfen Lied the " cutest anime girl of the year". And whoever runs the site admitted to never having seen Elfen Lied. (FYI, the girl in Elfen Lied had telekinetic powers, and used them---to tear people's heads and limbs off. I've got a copy on DVD. It is easily one of the most disturbing, fucked-up cartoons ever made.)

Next, I retired as "Shalom Yechiel" and gave Iridescent and Majorly a final "Burn!" (Check their talkpages at end of January 2009; too tired to find the links). Simultaneously I retired "Crystal whacker" and promised to abandon the site. It lasted until I pulled Kivel (T-C-L-K-R-D)
out of the sleeper closet. I made some routine edits, then I moved rail accident articles (a point of contention in my 2008 RFA) and finally I did this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...oldid=273139093 and Samir blocked me.

QUOTE(The Joy @ Thu 5th August 2010, 12:39am) I thought you were a chemistry grad student? How did you have the time to do all this on Wikipedia with professors, theses, and undergrads demanding your attention? QUOTE(Moulton @ Thu 5th August 2010, 7:36am) You can get anything you want at Yechiel's Restaurant
I just got one thing to ask you, kid...
(Well maybe two things.)
1. Did you pick up the trash?
2. Did you learn anything?
If by question 1 you intend "Did I clean up the bad edits I made?" the answer is usually no, but someone else did. If you mean real-world, I was usually the roommate who took the garbage to curbside (or otherwise it didn't get done and we had to wait till the next pickup date). I did learn some things, both about content and human behavior. Most things I wrote about on Wikipedia, I did not know very well until I prepared to write Wikipedia articles for them. For example related to a chemistry graduate school assignment, see Polarizable continuum model (T-H-L-K-D) A classmate thanked me for posting that. I learned that dialogue with editors in the Good Article peer review process, which I did as Crystal whacker, could be pleasant even with the inherent challenges of trying to grade someone else's work.

QUOTE(A Horse With No Name @ Thu 5th August 2010, 12:42pm) QUOTE(Shalom @ Thu 5th August 2010, 12:29pm) Do you care only about yourself? "
In case you were unaware, Greg joined the cast of "Jersey Shore." (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/laugh.gif) This thread needs to be updated based on recent developments. For the record, I am NOT Mark Pollogrino (T-C-L-K-R-D)
, despite what Raul654 says in his block summary. If Mark Pellegrini has the checkuser tool (I don't know if he still does), he should use it before he makes false accusations in a block summary. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...oldid=493722333 But I can honestly say I support what that anonymous jerk did. (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/smile.gif) The other socks found by checkuser to be me are correctly identified as me. This post has been edited by Shalom:

Curiously, this was not blocked as a sock until last month. Evidently, contrary to folklore, WP people don't read this site carefully. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...User%3AChutznikQUOTE(Moulton @ Tue 3rd August 2010, 3:38am) What are they gonna do, block the entire third world to keep you out?
There have been some ridiculous range blocks.
