You may not realize this, but that coincides with the Thanksgiving weekend holiday here in the USA. This will be more interesting than the college football games that will be televised during the holiday -- and possibly more violent. wink.gif

We need to get you into shape, Malley baby -- you have to be ready to take on all possible questions and concerns. Let's get some practice in:

1. How many Canadian admins does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

2. If Ironholds ran into your house with a live chicken under his arm and said, "Hide me, Farmer Brown called the cops and they are after me," where in the house would you hide him?

3. Who would be a better Prime Minister and why: Ottava, Majorly, Pedro or Peter Damian?

4. What is your definition of an acceptable bribe for closing AfDs against consensus?

5. Is LaraLove the hottest thing on Wikipedia? (This is a strict Yes or Yes answer, of course)

6. What is the difference between Wikipedia and a professional publishing environment staffed by qualified, mature, and emotionally stable adults?

I note (with great fascination) that Majorly says he'll run at the same time. It should be a great week all round for certain!

Okay, place your bets on which RfA will be more dramatic: Malley or Majorly?

I'll put my oats on both of them passing.

You presume too much. Who says that I'll treat the "optional questions" as anything other than optional? By which I mean ignore them, of course.

You will definitely fail then! Not answering optional questions is a sign of an abusive admin-to-come.

I think mine, and not just because I'm a narcissistic bastard. Majorly's been an administrator, he's a known quantity, whereas I'm a loose cannon. Who knows what I'd do if I ever got access to the block button? Go on a revenge spree perhaps? Unblock every WR poster? Even I don't know. smile.gif

  • None. It never gets dark in Canada, except when it's dark, of course.
2. If Ironholds ran into your house with a live chicken under his arm and said, "Hide me, Farmer Brown called the cops and they are after me," where in the house would you hide him?
  • I wouldn't let him in the house, I'd tell him to fuck off.
3. Who would be a better Prime Minister and why: Ottava, Majorly, Pedro or Peter Damian?
  • I'd vote for Peter. Brains wins every time.
4. What is your definition of an acceptable bribe for closing AfDs against consensus?
  • You will be hearing from my legal team on Monday.
5. Is LaraLove the hottest thing on Wikipedia? (This is a strict Yes or Yes answer, of course)
6. What is the difference between Wikipedia and a professional publishing environment staffed by qualified, mature, and emotionally stable adults?
  • Err, the scarcity of "qualified, mature, and emotionally stable adults"?

All proper, except:

#2 You should've taken the chicken and then locked Ironholds out.

I suspect this will hit WP:100 in about 10 minutes after launching. biggrin.gif

Since Malleus told me in my last RfA that I have "extremely poor judgement" and "unacceptable intolerance of alternative viewpoints", I'm sure he won't be surprised to see me voting against him.

I won't be surprised to see any dishonest idiots voting against me in an attempt to wreak vengeance. What's your point exactly?

Thanks for proving that RfA equals popularity complex. If you think that nursing grudges is a good idea I'm glad your RfA crashed and burnt. Have you considered the possibility that you do have poor judgement? Not that tit-for-tat opposes highlight that, or anything.

There was a time when I found my RfAs hurtful, but that was a long time ago. I enjoy looking through them now, gives me a laugh. One of my favourite opposes was from the condescending pretentious pratt who calls himself Ryan Postlethwaite, here.

Hey he's right you know - you spend way too much time editing articles instead of voting at AFDs and chasing vandals. You are clearly not clever enough in his eyes to see if an article is worth keeping or not, and obviously you are unable to read policies and guidelines - this knowledge has to be "proven" in the form of lots and lots of meaningless edits.

That lines up perfectly with the idea that admins are "janitors". After all, we expect janitors to have BScs in avionics. Having experience with actual cleaning just doesn't cut it, these days - after all, how does that help us tell if you're competent?

I've never seen his editing, but I think a solid basis in content building is necessary for anyone at RfA. That alone isn't enough, though; a reasonable temperament is also necessary.
