_ Biographies of Living Persons _ Justin Lee Brannan

Posted by: EricBarbour

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Lee_Brannan just plain stinks of a vanity BLP. And since it has existed since 2007, it has simply gotten a little better written, not actually better.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Indecision_(band) the alleged AfD, what a joke.

Which also brings up the (rather long and poorly written and poorly sourced) articles about his bands, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indecision_(band) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most_Precious_Blood_(band).

I invite any Wiki-nerd to establish better "notability" for Mr. Brannan.
Or don't bother. WP has thousands of poor BLPs like this anyway.

Just checked--still there, slowly getting longer.

Justin has learned his lesson and now edits only with IP addresses.

I also checked the 8 listed web references, five of them are dead links and one of them is a duplicate.
Pathetic.

So are you fixing it?

I'd be sorely tempted to insert ballsacky things. Just for the fun.

Gimme that bottle of Cutty Sark, and I'll consider "fixing" it. tongue.gif

(Tarc, did you know that Paul Frampton (T-H-L-K-D), David Brooks (journalist) (T-H-L-K-D), Fred Barnes (journalist) (T-H-L-K-D), Rory Sabbatini (T-H-L-K-D) and D. Harlan Wilson (T-H-L-K-D) have been editing their own BLPs? And they are only the tip of a large iceberg?I don't think it is even physically possible to fix them. Unless you're an admin, of course. And I didn't mention the good friend of Ricky Gervais who has also been editing his own BLP.)

I bet you had no idea that Fred Barnes, famous for appearing on political screaming-head shows like The McLaughlin Group and The Beltway Boys,
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&limit=500&target=FBarnes to edit articles about Catholic exorcists and Republican celebrities.

And hasn't been back under his original account since 2005, but socked a bit thereafter. Well?

Do not fix individual articles on Wikipedia. This is like giving £100 to a heroin addict, which will not fix the problem of heroin addicts. Fix the system instead.
