Durova denies everything, She's not a federal agent, she just plays one on Wikipedia Options

What I heard was that she works for the part of the FBI that works with computer security, in Southern California. I was told this. I have no material evidence, so you are right, it could be wrong. I take your point, so I am taking it down.

Jimbo did speak at the FBI Computer Security Institute, in 2006. Of that there's no question.

The Jimbo connection to the FBI is a much bigger deal, actually.

Is the theory that Jimbo's condoning Durova's nuttiness because the feds are trying to accomplish some secret objective on Wikipedia via Durova's ownership of the Joan of Arc and Nadezhda Durova articles? Or that the feds were embarrased by her online efforts? Or that she was wasting taxpayer resources by playing Wikipedia all day instead of doing her job (whatever that might be)?

The going theory is that Durova lures random innocent Wikipedians, Jimbo delivers them to aliens, the aliens impregnate them, and then the FBI harvests the fetal alien babies, and keeps them in a lab at Quantico.

Well, actually, I was thinking more of TIA, ECHELON, TSCM, PSYOPS, CI, and RFID. You know, information warfare toys such that all the cool kids are playing with.

She also reportedly has a laser pointer gun that shoots infrared into your living room. And teams of agents that move in next door. You know, for the usual games of deception and coercion winding it all up with a bit of compulsory dangerous espionage.

But that's before all the luring and impregnating and fetal-alien-bottle-ing.

Actually, those points Devilyouknow made were spot-on.

The objective of those agencies is to use Wikipedia by the above agencies, as a tool for finding out who thinks what, and who writes what, and who believes what, above and beyond reading what's in your email and on your computer. Wikipedia is a big "whiteboard" where people often edit articles which reference their political beliefs. And knowing everyone's political beliefs, I'm sorry to say, these days, is very important to some of the above groups.

"Big brother" is kind of an understatement.

Pro, "as we both know well", Durova has been calling you and whinging (whining) to you. . I've seen her do this to so many people, i.e. pandering for sympathetic support, while continuing to hurt people. You are the lastest (excuse me) sucker to lobby on her behalf (the Brandt-Broer honeymoon was famously short, and the breakup embarassingly public).

Which begs the question, I hasten to add - why does she care? If she works at Walmart, or for BigHiTech Inc, or whatever, then the aforementioned assertions above are irrelevant and 'whackjob-related' and "so what"? I think the backdoor negotiations are going on precisely because there is truth in the assertions, and either you are naiive, or you know it damned well. My guess is that you are naiive. You've been at odds with her, and you'd like to work you way back in the fold. Fair enough.

Tell her to go back through her entire history, and to erase every false accusation she's made against every person on the planet, and then apologize to each and every one, including but not limited to TH, the Congressional guy, and then this gets tar pitted - but only on the stated promise that she goes and sins no more.

There's your negotiation, Pro. She'll never do it, as it involves apologizing and admitting bad behavior, two things at which she is notoriously bad - even moreso than at sleuthing. And Lise's sliming of Kohs two days ago (online Skype chat) is evidence that she can't stop attacking people - veiled attacks, unveiled attacks - she loves kicking people in the face online. She can't quit being aggressive any more than she can quit editing Wikipedia. The former is who she is, the latter what gives her life meaning. I hasten to emphasize: if Lise Broer did NOT work for a government investigative body, we would be having this conversation. Period.

I have nothing to do with any efforts to remove this discussion, as the moderators can attest…although now that you mention it, I suppose I would support it at this point - it can always be restored when some actual evidence is brought forth.

I'm surprised and disappointed that you would refer to my PM here (which you misquoted) and equally surprised that you'd cast a friendly genuinely benevolent offer in such a negative light. My motive was simply that I don't enjoy seeing you upset.
