I wish Seth would dump his Google AdSense account; his blog deserves more respect.

There's a more general problem with Wikipedia, Wikia, and search engines in general. The editor of the Wall Street Journal, of all people, hit the nail on the head the other day. His comment was in the context of the future of newspapers, but it doesn't take a Philosophy 101 course to generalize the point he makes to nearly everything that passes for web content these days:
