Perhaps Kato could keep away from there, since he clearly doesn't like ArbCom, and despite the massive impact they have on Wikipedia, doesn't think its important. Well, I only know that through the multiple copies of the same dull messages he mass posted in all the ArbCom threads.

Why restrict it to 2008? Better to rename it "Arbcom elections", as no doubt there'll be the same rigmarole and multitude of posts relating to next year's elections.
