I couldn't, so I just made the usual comment about how Jimmy Wales isn't even the "founder" of Wikipedia. Waiting for approval.

This is related to some of the things I've been saying about Wikipedia purporting to be "collaborative" project while actually modeling highly individualist market transactions. The author (Mirowski, not "Nick") is coming at this from the other side. He believes that WP purports to market based (because Wales says he was inspired by Hayek) but is does not achieve this at all instead provides some "lowest common denominator" kind of substitute.
His interesting quote:

I didn't know that Wales actually openly agreed (by being "inspired" by Hayek) that Wikipedia simulates market transaction rather than relied on "collaboration."
"Nick" seems to a have more favorable view of WP than either Mirowski or myself.

In any case I have since had a chance to read the chapter on Wikipedia, (some pages missing) by Mirowski on Google books, not just the excepts selected by "Nick.". Although he is a biographer of Hayek he shares many of the same concerns as I do so I need to change his "coming at this from the other side." To a great extent we share the same view of Wikipedia as representing a distorted market fetish view of collaboration.
