_ Editors _ Ada Lovelace

Posted by: Ottava

As most of you know, I created the base of what is the Ada Lovelace page from the horrible version it was before. I did not complete it because I only did it as a side project when working on Byron. Her name has been used by the the feminist Wikipedians (some of the least competent people around, which is dreadful) to be a symbol.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ada_Lovelace&diff=527365227&oldid=523302746 shows why it is dreadful. Superficial and almost nothing there is. Adding additional pointless trivial refs to already referenced statements. Adding trivia throughout. There is also the addition of information to cited passages without the sources (the info isn't within the page numbers, making the claim of the citation turning into a lie).

Wikipedia gets rid of experts and substitutes with political ideologues. Yay for systematic failure!
