When linking to stuff on Wikipedia you want public Options

If linking to Wikipedia stuff that you want known, if it's a wikipedia.org/w/whatever link instead of a wikipedia.org/wiki/whatever link, you change it into a /wiki/ link!
/w/ links will not be indexed in any search engines due to Wikipedia's robots.txt file which tells search engines what pages to ignore or bans some entirely.

Instructions for converting /w/ to /wiki/:

1.
/w/index.php?title=
to
/wiki/

2. If there's a bit called
&type=
replace it with
/

3. At the first
&
change it to a
?

4. (Optional) If there's any bit with an equals sign but just a & straight after, you can safely delete the word before it, the equals sign and the &. Example:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/...ser+queerrights
becomes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/...ser+queerrights
This isn't totally needed, just makes the link shorter.

5. (Optional) Change
+
or spaces to
_
because some stuff doesn't recognise plus signs in URLs

Oh, cute.

I have a lovely little Firefox extension installed that lets me change my reported UserAgent. So I changed it to one of the blacklisted ones (Xenu), and tried to access Wikipedia.

Obviously, I couldn't get through... but the error page was quite interesting.

Is Wikipedia associated with Bomis, or is Wikipedia not associated with Bomis? The reason I ask this, is that I was just informed that "Your cache administrator is wikidown@bomis.com"

The kind of pages that generally get these kind of links generally also have a meta tag in the header with noindex,nofollow, so it's a waste of effort.
