The Voice of Russia • The founder of the largest online encyclopaedia Wikipedia Jimmy Wales has been appointed a British government adviser. The Cabinet of Ministers reports that he will advise on the use of innovative technologies in the work of its various departments.

And how will this innovative technology help?

The Wiki software wasn't "innovative" nor original. They were just able to market it enough to get people to build something and then capitalize on it later. So what exactly is he there to do?
