Would anyone care to explain why, when a photo of Basin Mountain was needed,
someone volunteered this? laugh.gif

I don't see Basin Mountain, all I see is ass.....

(And PS: the creator of this photo, Fordpinto77 (T-C-L-K-R-D) , has uploaded
another such photo. And posted a censored version.
How nice, Wikipedia has some free 1970s girlie pics. Gee, thanks.)

Haha, very poor photoshop. Is there an admin who can check the file history on en before it was transferred to commons?

The file was copied to Commons using an upload bot, so you can treat the original upload log it generated as genuine. Looks like Fordpinto777 uploaded his Adobe® Photoshop™ enhanced cheesecake pictures from the beginning.

That is really funny.

It opens up a Pandora's Box of a competition to see who can slip in the most 'what' into a thumbnail on a namespace topic.

Of course, you realise that Wikipedia imagery is full of hidden subliminal Freemasonic symbolism and part of an Illuminati plot to establish a ruling clique of sadists and subjugate the masses into masochistic submissivity ... zzzzzzzZZZZZZ.

Well, that and showing their penises off in public.

Well, speaking of "hiding" things in pictures, back in 2007 it was discovered that a ring of file sharers was uploading pictures with steganographically hidden files inside. It seems users of a something-or-other-"Chan" message board were sharing pirated e-books with each other, and hit upon the idea of using Wikipedia as a free file host by hiding them in pictures they uploaded. It was pretty clever; we probably wouldn't have found out had a participant on the message board not ratted 'em out. Theoretically, it's impossible to stop, save for disallowing image uploads completely.

Somehow I doubt the file host could realistically be held liable for something which is by definition undetectable unless one already knows what they are looking for.

However in an IP-doomsday scenario where this is deemed something to worry about, it seems like it would be easy enough for the server to resample all raster images upon upload in a way that makes no difference visible to the human eye, but garbles enough of the hidden data to make it useless. That is, unless the hidden data is in fact another (super-imposed) photo... ermm.gif

Of course SVG's would be a whole other can of worms...

This is one of the reasons I've given up on Wikipedia. Anywhere else on the planet, this person would be banned and the photos deleted on the spot. But on Wikipedia, I can predict what will happen - someone will take them to IFD. The "Wikipedia is not censored" crowd will show up and whine about "censorship" (because, obviously, not having a naked woman on a photo of a mountain is censorship), and then the issue will be eschewed completely because the images are probably copyright violations (photoshops of someone else's photo). Meanwhile, the user is just laughing at how stupid everyone is.

Not a tropical beach. Indeed it looks like East Devon, where it was taken. Fricking cold English Channel water. Observe how comfortable the nice lady looks. dry.gif One suspects she's been out there several minutes all day....

Eva, where's your sense of the surreal? To be able to look through "charm'd magic casements, opening on the foam of perilous seas, in faery lands forlorn"?

Commons user Creator likes to upload photos of his naked self, usually including his genitals.

This one (NSFW) is particularly stupid because of the labels on the photo itself, and his description.
QUOTE
Image is human equivalent of loin area in quadrapeds. The four legged animals have same muscles like human. In this image, Hips-Gluteus Medius (Rump)in meat animals, Back-Longissimus dorsi (Rib eye) in meat animals, Belly- Rectus abdominis (Flank) in meat animals are visible. The loin area-Psoas (Tenderloin) in meat animals starting at end of ribs and extending to pelvic area is visible. It includes last pair of ribs, lower back (Coccyx area).Actually fleshy section of muscles cut parallel to backbone, few ribs and structural fat is loin.

Marin H.'s question on his talk page, "Realizing a good image of a loin without showing your penis to the world was not possible?" remains unanswered.

Is it not possible to photograph the thighs without photographing the penis?

Actually, this is probably my candidate for Stupid Photo Of The Month:

Edit:

Or...

Or perhaps "Cumfart"?
