You may recall User:KevinOKeeffe as our resident convicted terrorist. I like to look in on him from time to time to see what he's up to lately.

Well, despite claiming that he doesn't embrace "White Nationalism", he proudly displays a userbox on his WP user page declaring that he is a member of the National Anarchists. No points for guessing what they are.

Recently he created an article about the The Phora, an internet forum in which he is, judging from his comments in the deletion discussion, somewhat involved. He goes by "Jake Featherston" there (and by Old_King_Log elsewhere).

You'd think it would be easy to spot someone with a specific agenda to push when they go around changing white to White, wouldn't you? I guess not on WP...

Apparently "The Phora" has an entire main-level forum devoted to Eugenics, calling it the "science of race betterment."

I personally hadn't heard of them, but I don't keep up with those things to the extent that I used to. Here's a bit from Mr. O'Keefe's defense of the article in the deletion discussion (second attempt):
QUOTE
The Phora is very well-known and quite high-profile among both far-right and far-left communities of online posters (due to the "free speech" orientation of the board, it is one of the very few places where one can witness free, uncensored debates between Communists, Nazis & fascists, anarchists, libertarians, liberals, conservatives, monarchists, Islamists, etc).

Ehh, I'm not seeing any Communists or liberals... maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? ermm.gif

I was looking for libs in all the wrong places
Searching for Jews at the stock car races
At the pistol range for the perfume and laces
Who know.. just how I vote …
Hopin’ to find a little good beaver
God bless a lady believer
A vegan with.. a sport-fishing boat

People like that give eugenics a bad name... (ok well most people do, but it makes our lives more interesting, don't it.)

I've never seen a real forum where these magic free debates exist (on an intelligent level).

Neigher have I - and you'll notice that Mr. O'Keefe doesn't list "moderates," "centrists," or "rationalists" on his roster. I've often found this to be the case with right-wing folks - anyone who suggests a moderate/centrist approach to a problem is simply another "liberal," and they either can't make the distinction or don't want to.

He also doesn't list "socialists," which might be an honest omission, but let's face it, it's just as likely that he lumps them all in with "communists."

That's something I noticed a long time ago---the extreme right tends to be far more exclusionary to outliers, and more hostile to its "opponents", than even the most extreme and demented left-wingers. Plus, the ultra-right is more dedicated to denialism in the face of strong evidence than the extreme left. Witness the teabaggers, creationists, Free Republic, and Orly Taitz. And those aren't even part of the white-supremacy extreme--they just dabble around with "casual" racism, for lack of a better term.

You might find this list amusing. A bunch of right-wing bloggers were asked which were the worst Americans in history. The consensus: the worst was Jimmy Carter, followed by Obama. They don't have much of a collective memory either. ("Collective" might be the wrong word to use when talking about that bunch, I 'spose....)

Strange, isn't it, that Kevin spent a lot of time editing the Tyra Banxxx article......

He was just removing content so that when he asked for deletion it was more likely. If this went to AFD, it would definitely be deleted. Let's see if he's following this thread...

Oh yeah, here's the Phora thread talking about the WP article.

Kevin's right, some of the edits are kinda nasty.

Kevin's not such a bad egg. Granted, I wouldn't want him at a bar mitzvah or a Juneteenth observance...but, hey, no one's perfect. blink.gif
