Thanks JC. Am still working my way through it. A lot of it isn't my bag, and I don't have the background to comment. But some of it seems naive in respect to WP policies and procedures. For instance, he seems to take the mediation process at face value as a lot of inexperienced editors do - when in reality is next to worthless. WP is quite a difficult place to analyse and describe, and it takes a lot of time and involvement to get to grips with how things really operate beneath the surface. I'm not yet convinced the author of the study has fully immersed himself - ventured through the looking glass so to speak - to gain an accurate understanding of the real WP "Collective Action".
