"Blocked

I've blocked you indefinitely from editing. I see no useful contributions- you started out with self-promotion and spam, and then graduated to pointless soapboxing. Wikipedia is not for this kind of nonsense- please use your own website. Friday (talk) 14:12, 13 May 2008 (UTC)"

blink.gif Indefinitely? I was just blocked last week Indefinitely and then I was unblocked.

"Indefinite
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Indefinitely)
Jump to: navigation, search
Look up indefinite in Wiktionary, the free dictionary.

The word indefinite has these meanings:-

* In mathematics:-
o When talking about positive or negative indefinite forms in multilinear algebra, see definite bilinear form.
o "indefinite" is sometimes used to describe the result of trying to divide 0 by 0. Some computers call this value NaN (short for "not a number").
* In grammar, see indefinite article and indefinite pronoun."

Well according to that definition indefinite does not specify an amount of time. Maybe someone should edit this and update it? But then the Wikipedia would probably call that "self-promotion and spam, and then graduated to pointless soapboxing" or vandalism.

Yet another reason to use http://www.pediaopeness.org instead! You will never get banned Indefinitely.

My responce to the Wikipedia on my Talk page (Neutral777)

If anyone wishes to unblock, let them do so- no need to get my opinion. It doesn't look to me like you're here with any intention of contributing usefully. But, if you can convince another admin otherwise, they will unblock you. Friday (talk) 21:51, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Maybe there's some confusion here? For the record, I don't care at all what you do on your own website. However, here on Wikipedia, I do care. Thus, I've blocked you from editing Wikipedia. You can do whatever you want on your own website and I won't complain. Friday (talk) 21:57, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

::None of us could care less what you do on your own website, or your rambling posts on assorted attack sites about how our conspiracy to "deny your constitutional rights". <span class="plainlinks">What , we do care about. — <font color="#E45E05">iride</font><font color="#C1118C">scent</font></font> 22:15, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

To Friday: What have I put on the Wikipedia that's harmfull? Where? Please show me. Do you fear what I will put up in the future? As far as I know I'm done for a year or two.

To Dendoge: I don't have an attack site and I don't think any of these sites attack the Wikipedia. They all point out historical instances of when the Wikipedia has attacked users. This is actual factual documented history and not an attack. These are not ramblings if thats how you spell it. I don't believe there is a conspiracy to deny my constitutional rights because you come out and say it. I have documented two times two Admins have told me exactly that and others agree from their historical factual experiences with the Wikipedia. Mr. Godwin actually likes the positive thing I'm trying to do. When I talked to him on the phone he seemed to be very impressed. If I'm not unblocked soon I'll contact him one last time to let him know how everything went. Yes there is proof that you are blocking freedom of speech and you are to blame. I didn't write those things on the Wikipedia that the Wikipedia Administrators wrote. So stop making me out to be the crazy guy. The only thing I posted on the Wikipedia was on my User page about myself because thats what every one else does including Godwin.

To Both Of You and all of the Wikipedia: Is the truth that dangerous that you can't allow it to get out? Are you that insecure an infantile that you can't admit your own mistakes? Come on children. I'm an Assistant Scout Master and I've taught at a College and I haven't seen such childish actions except from a psychopath that was sent to prison. And I can honestly say that.

So you ask why I'm standing up for myself? Why I feel the need to do this? I don't know if you can understand but I'll try to explain it to you. Go here and read. If it makes any sense to you then you should not need to argue with me any longer. I have no intention of vandalizing your site or Spamming it or oh wait you call this soapboxing don't you? Well I'll have to try harder on that one and that will mean that when someone here tells me to just be quiet and go away I'll have to listen and not stand up for myself. Thats what you want right? All Hail the All Powerful Insecure Admins! ~~~~

"Indefinite" means exactly what it sounds like - "undefined". People get indefblocks lifted all the time (ask Poetlister), either when someone feels the blocking admin made a mistake, or if you've given someone a good reason why you should return.

Since you made http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?limit=50&title=Special%3AContributions&contribs=user&target=Neutral777&namespace=0&year=&month=-1 prior to your block, four of which were spam for your company and three of which were unsourced defamation, I wouldn't hold your breath - but if you put reason on your talkpage, someone will come along and either unblock you or explain why not, depending on how convincing the reason you give is.

I word to the wise: never, ever make suggestions like that on an encyclopedia that anyone can edit - or vandalise.

In Wikipedianese it is pronounced WP:BEANS.

Ultumix is not a company but an OpenSource FREE! GNU/Linux distribution people can use for FREE and like any other GNU/Linux distribution that is listed on the Wikipedia I listed mine.

Sigh... I think this warrants breaching WP protocol and reposting a deleted page so people can judge for themselves its value.

GNU/Linux by Previous Windows Users for Current Windows Users

How or Why The Subject Is Notable

(Produced at the request of a Wikipedia moderator) We remastered GNU/Linux so that it's easier for Windows users to learn quickly. For more details look under "The Purpose of Ultumix GNU/Linux" below. Also keep in mind this page is not yet done so please hold your judgments until after it's done.

The Purpose of Ultumix GNU/Linux
Our purpose is simple. Mainly we accept feedback from current Microsoft Windows users or GNU/Linux noobs and try to solve their problems or meet their expectations. If we don't know how then we ask others to help us. An example of this would be when my Mother complained that she could not find templates or clip art in OpenOffice.org in Ultumix. I added all the open source clip art and templates I could find. Recently we just discovered that there is a fully GNU/Linux compatible Yahoo Instant Messenger. We plan on adding it to our arsenal of programs that are pre-installed. One thing we have learned is that we can minimize install time and frustration if we have the most commonly used programs pre-installed to increase functionality. By doing simple things like configuring OpenOffice.org to save in .doc, .xls, and .ppt formats we can make the user feel more comfortable. Support for Microsoft applications is important as well and eventually we want to give cash rewards for help in that area. Mainly overall our goal is just to get people to use GNU/Linux without becoming frustrated and moving back to Microsoft Windows or Mac. Currently we can get 9 out of 10 users to switch from Windows XP or Vista to Ultumix but only if we install it for them or give them a live demonstration. Otherwise our approval rate for the general public that downloads our software is around 50% and it is always changing. There is a FLEKTOR counter that you can use on our main page.

People Who Help Us
Ken Starks, Edwin Hallgrimson, Clem (with Linux Mint), Thomas with www.thenixedreport.com, Richard Stallman helps us with PR and others help us as well.

A Little History
Back in 2001 - 2002 a man who worked for Microsoft developing DOS - Windows 98+ retired and came back to my small town. He told me about SUSE Linux and demonstrated it to me. I was very frustrated because it was so different. I fiddled with it while using Windows XP for years. Finally when I was still in college I decided I liked GNU/Linux so much (after having been force fed it by my college) that I wanted to figure out how to make it simple for others including myself so that we would not need to use the Konsole or Terminal as much as possible. I started with PCLinuxOS 2007 and it seemed good for a while and then I decided to remaster it. The PCLinuxOS community didn't like this so they banned me from their site. Then I decided to go with Linux Mint and it worked very well until ENVY stopped installing NVIDIA and ATI drivers automatically and the Screen saver and resolution settings didn't work either. I'm currently working on a lite Slackware version, 32 bit and 64 bit Kubuntu based version for Windows users, and a Ubuntu (32 and 64 bit version) based version for Macintosh users. This time it's so demanding I'm going to have someone else make the Slackware version for me. Yes there is other history but I think I can save that for the Critics section.

Critics

As far as we can tell 90% of our critics don't like what we are doing because I support my local Lutheran Church (Christian) . I feel that this is freedom of speech and that it should have no reflection on how people respond to Ultumix. We found that almost all of the people involved in the Anti-Christian movement were forum moderators from another distribution which we won't mention. The rest of the critics were Jehovah's witness. We received countless anonymous forum posts and personal e-mails from these extremest Anti-Christian groups. This was when I contacted Richard Stallman for help. He gave me wise words of wisdom which resulted in some final responses and this FAQ page we came up with to silence them. Also according to the moderators at Yahoo Answers it's against their policy to allow us to answer people with the solution of using Ultumix GNU/Linux. I asked several Yahoo Answers users if they could explain why Yahoo Answers excluded us from their site. We made no mention of previous critics or why we thought that we were excluded. The response was that they thought it was because of our Christian involvement. Despite these attacks we will not give in to terrorism that would remove the freedom of speech from us.

Rejecting that was nothing to do with a conspiracy of WP editors against you. I imagine (I'm sure Kohs can confirm one way or the other) that Wikipedia Review, Citizendium et al would also have politely but firmly shown that article the door. I particularly like the idea that Yahoo is a terrorist organization.

When will you be unblocked? Never.

WP makes many, many, many mistakes on any given day.

Deleting that tragedy wasn't one of them.

Wikipedia Review might take it as Greg's site has no problem with advertising... but that wasn't anywhere near a WP article.

Sorry, I cannot comment on one of the above two mentioned sites, as I have promised to try not to use Wikipedia Review as a pulpit for promoting my for-profit empire.

The article would be welcome in my site's "Directory" space, but the libelous aspects of it may have to go. We gladly accept kooky and ranty. We don't take so kindly to libel.

It's no good asking Greg. he wants everyone banned so they can stop wasting their time improving Wikipedia.

Not so.

Greg wants me unbanned, because he figures I'll hamstring them to the point where everything grinds to a halt.

Thanks for the input all. I agree that we should boycott the WIkipedia. I'm currently working on Ultmix 0.0.1.7 (a big improvement over all distros) and I removed the Wikipedia search from Firefox. smile.gif I also added a custom Ultumix search but I don't think I'll make it default. Instead I'll use Google or something.

I have a feeling Brandt may be able to give you some advice about Google, too...

I have no idea what this thread fray is about, but the poll at the top seems to concern the fate of a particular editor, so maybe it belongs in the Editors Forum.

"After I talk to Godwin in the phone again" - is it a very big phone? Are you and Godwin very small? It's usually petty to pick on typos but this provokes a funny mental image.
