_ The Wikipedia Annex _ Cailil stirring it again

An interesting exchange at AN/I http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard#Topic_banned_editor_using_WP.27s_email_system_to_discuss_topic. Cailil is obviously a prize nob, but what's he about here, I wonder? Seems as though he doesn't like getting emails.
Anyhow, does a topic ban extend to emails?

IANA(wiki-)L, but as long as his off-wiki discussions cannot be connected with on-wiki actions, I don't see why anyone could be sanctioned for it. Does the WP e-mail systems allow editors to ignore others' e-mails?

There's isn't any ignorelists users can set, but you can set their preference in a way that allows no one to send Emails. Basically, if you want Emails, you need to allow everyone to send Emails.

It's pretty easy to set up a filter to autodelete emails form a particular account though.

Ha, ha, you could be right. But come on! When you're up against this sort of thing you just don't do you. It becomes personal. Here's a twat (HighKing) who, let's face it, is out to corrupt the pedia and make it fit his own way of thinking. We can't just stand idly by. I know Wikipedia is the pits and is a disaster as far as accurate information is concerned (cos of twats like HK), so LevenBoy and the others just battle on

No danger of that happening then. First off, you'd be hard pressed to actually understand it, he's made is so complicated.
He's obviously taking the piss. Who in hell's name is going to go through all that lot to get him de-sysoped, and you'd never manage it anyway because he's got so many conditions and get out clauses in there.
Regrettably, this particular corrupt specimen apears to be here for the long term.
There should be a simple, straightforward way to get corrupt admins de-frocked. If there was, there'd be a lot fewer of the bastards around.
