The assumption that I'd suddenly switch the time I get to spend doing WR stuff to solely Wikipedia at the drop of a hat as unbanned is funny (IMG:smilys0b23ax56/default/smile.gif) I didn't do that last time I kept on the middle road, but even that wasn't enough! I'm just not going to bother trying to change it from within the system at all anymore, it's utterly pointless, and I know plenty of other people have said it before and it isn't worth trying etc but I had to try. I got one of those oldest oldest oldest starting admins talking about the problems so that was good at least. But yeah...

When the problem is so much money passing around hands that some people just have unlimited time to "waste", the only way is for the whole system to change, and in some people's eyes past the "WR BADSITE" stuff it's still all the same, any kind of criticism that everything is not all perfect means you're a troublemaker and must be punished because it goes into that whole denial reflex of "if it's not awesome then what about all the gazillion hours I editor x has spent editing it without questioning these things myself, she can't be proving me an idiot?" that some people probably don't want to think about.
