And this is no April Fool's joke.

No, I plan on returning to what I started out doing in the first place, and using my resources to build value and content to the project. I wanted to write a statement more elaborative, but I thought it would be best to just let the past be in the past.

Good lad. If you're gonna waste your time, waste it writing some useful articles,
instead of fighting with ghosts.

Why Wikipedia, though? Why not build value and content somewhere where it won't get pissed on by kids in their mom's basement?

You could do your own work, publish it or have your own site, get respect for it and take pride in it, knowing you're allowed to call it you own and take credit for it. As the Kohser says, don't waste time on what is ephemeral graffiti when you could be creating something more permanent.

Well, when I initially began editing to WP, I had only one primary web-site that I maintained - Abandoned. Today, however, I operate four web-sites that present interesting conflicts of interests because my web-sites tend to be more detailed with information and history than what is typically customary on WP. For many of my articles -- and many have not been published on my site due to an extensive backlog, I spend hours and days researching. One particular project, regarding an ammunitions plant, has taken up a lot of my time and I'm literally digging up information and files that's not been disclosed or uncovered for decades.

But do I publish this on WP and duplicate what is on my site? Not really, because WP is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit -- and manipulate and screw up. I don't trust it with detailed data or information, and I don't have the time to monitor my contributions over hundreds of articles. So I typically snip a small part of what I write and link out to one of my articles.

I think that is one of the best ways for me to handle the situation, while at the same time offering WP an insight into something interesting or unique.

Calton Bollick and Guy Chapman would call you a self-interested link-spammer, then. I'll be waiting for them to get you blocked.

That's if Dave Gerard doesn't get to him first for "ad-banner click trolling." dry.gif

Also. I'd send you some kind of unscrewed barnstar, but I'm totally out. But congrats on being unscrewed.
