The article about this crash that has been all over the headlines in Norway and Sweden the last days (http://www.aftonbladet.se/, http://www.vg.no/) has somehow been http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Norwegian_C-130_Hercules_accident by user WilliamJE per the poorly-writtenhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:AIRCRASH, an "advice of content" that led to the AFD'ing of a ton of plane crash articles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Aviation/Aircraft_accidents_and_incidents

I'm surprised to see a ton of users voting to delete based on the AIRCRASH, without the fact that it is only an advice on content created by a WikiProject in mind!

The NOTNEWS policy is also total baloney, if it is interpreted in the strictest way articles about the July 22, July 7, 9/11 attacks, etc. could have been deleted up until an official report was released, because until then it is a news event!
