_ The Wikipedia Annex _ Noleander and a RFC: Pointless Argument of the Day

Posted by: rationallyspeaking

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Infobox_television#New_cast_members_in_the_television_infobox:

-Editor makes a proposal.
-Eomund makes a suggestion that the editor agrees with.
-Noleander comments with weak support.
-Editor changes proposed text slightly (from "credits" to "a reliable source such as opening credits") in response to Eomund's suggestion.
-Noleander throws a fit despite the fact there were only three editors commenting on the RFC, the change is not very significant and does not impact any of his comments at all.
-Noleander demands that the RFC be withdrawn and a new one immediately opened reflecting the changed text.
-Editor calls out Noleander for being unreasonable and overly-bureaucratic.
-Noleander strikes through his support with the comment he does not have time to review the new text, despite the fact he has time to lecture in Wiki process, which actually takes longer than reviewing the changed text would have taken.

Yep, he wins the trophy for most pointless argument of the day.

You seem to have mistaken Wikipedia Review for a Wikipedia whiningnoticeboard.
