I didn't realize it, but the Mike Lifeguard "lock" on Thekohser impacts my ability to participate in the German Wikipedia, as I have done in the past.

I am requesting Steward assistance with my account, here. If any of the WR faithful are regulars on the German Wikipedia, please lend a hand. German isn't my first language.

According to the block log, Pathoschild changed the block to let the local community decide.

Yeah. I asked Mike about why he reinstated the lock, after Pathoschild had done all that work to allow local communities to make their own decisions. (He went around and blocked locally, thus allowing local admins to unblock. It appears that some did, so Mike, he claimed, had a "discussion" with unspecified persons and relocked without any public discussion. And nobody has had the chutzpah to unlock, so far. Any local 'crat can rename. My guess is that de.wikipedia might do it, as did Wikiversity and Wikibooks and one or two more.
