Is there some way old threads could be locked after a certain period of inactivity? I don't know why Emesee keeps resurrecting them but it's very irritating.

It can be done, but it somebody would have to watch EVERY thread for some (arbitrary) period of time time, then lock it. It's better to trust posters not to resurrect necrothreads without good cause. And this nearly 3 year-old one, is probaby some kind of record. Easier to tell Emesee to just knock it off.

Emsee, if it's older than 6 months, you can pretty well be sure nobody cares to time-jump and get seasick from the Tardis. (IMG:smilys0b23ax56/default/sick.gif) So unless new evidence arrises in a clearly relevant way to a stately old well-developed thread. And even then, you might as well just start a new one and ask a mod to merge if they want.
