According to Compete.com, the top inbound search terms to Skankbone.org are:
  • gay celebrities
  • gay cruised at a bar
  • is shepard smith gay?
  • tea party evolution crap
  • she was hanged by her neck until she died

Now, before we start cackling at that list, I should point out that the #5 search term that Compete tracked for Wikipedia Review was:
  • what does a very large penis look like

These "sources" need to be re-examined in that light before another article can be written, preferably via an Arbcom case which also explores the connections between the other principals in this business (Benjiboi (T-C-L-K-R-D) and Becksguy (T-C-L-K-R-D) to name two....both of whom have real-life connections to Mr. Miller---Benjiboi having performed as a DJ for a Michael Lucas party, for example...Becksguy also needs to stop editing articles about his mother...)

Hah. Compete.com is a very suspicious operation. For example, it gives only one search term for metasonix.com: "butt probe". laugh.gif

By COI standards, Time Magazine would be declared off-limits because of its penchant for publishing long and glowing articles about productions that arise from the Time Warner media machine.

Read about Henry Luce's history sometime. The man was a chronic womanizer, and a pre-WWII isolationist (and fan of Hitler and Mussolini) who became a rabid "interventionalist" after the war. Which made him a good friend of the CIA's top brass as well as J. Edgar Hoover (and was suspected of being one of their intelligence sources), plus a cheerleader for the wars in Korea and Vietnam.

And he was a racist, an anti-Semite who became a supporter of Israel when it became politically expedient, and an all-round right-wing American bastard. Plus a rabid anti-communist and anti-unionist. He utterly despised JFK. More than once in the 1950s, Time ran thinly-disguised slimy attacks on Democratic politicians. Adlai Stevenson, for one.

Read the book Henry R. Luce, Time, and the American Crusade in Asia.

Needless to say, Luce's WP bio fails to mention much of this stuff.

Be thankful that his WP bio doesn't credit him with creating Newsweek! wink.gif

And the plot thickens :

in light of this.

Nor that his wife coined the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished", which makes me wonder what she really meant by this.

But wouldn't you know the top (registered) editor to this article is Will Beback, with six (6) editshuh.gif

Blame it on him, yeah, that works. dry.gif

Isn't Wikia that "completely separate" organization from Wikipedia that Jimbo keeps mentioning on the lecture circuit as his "new project"?

There are other sites that seek to preserve deleted Wikipedia articles.

None of them had their employees constituting 60% of the Wikimedia Foundation board of trustees. Nice try, Happy Drinker, but you still fail at this.

Well played, Greg.

Not really. Luce's Wiki-bio whitewashes the man's actual personal history.
And so goes the Shanker. Unlike Luce, Shanker is on-wiki to do some of the
dirty work himself, as well as to encourage his little buddies to make him
read like a hero.

QUOTE(Lar @ Fri 23rd October 2009, 1:57pm) *

QUOTE(A Horse With No Name @ Fri 23rd October 2009, 9:07am) *

It seems peculiar for this IP to pull such a wild accusation out of thin air and stick it someone who, truth be told, has not been a disruptive force on Wikipedia. If the accusation was that AdjustShift was a Martian, I could ignore it. If it was that AdjustShift is co-starring in "Men of Israel 2: Studs of the Knesset", I could shrug it off. But this comes out of nowhere and there is reason for concern since AdjustShift specifically asked for IP block exemption for his account -- that smells.

This reminds me of half of Arbcom's blatant refusal to explain whether or not they already knew Law was The Undertow. I guess the power clique only investigates and harasses people they don't like and coddles their friends -- which may explain why Mr. Miller (the founder of our feast) is getting protected.

Sure, it's peculiar. But without a solid basis for the check, it isn't a checkable check. Some further information besides "it seems peculiar" is needed. Especially when the check would need to be run by someone who isn't in the "power clique"... I prefer to be able to justify any check I run if I'm asked, especially since I was (rather maliciously, in my view, and certainly unjustly) accused of CU related issues already by someone who is (or at least was, but I think IS) in the "power clique".

So it would require considerable effort to put together a case that justified the check. Effort I decline to expend just on your request, because you pissed me off. I'm petty that way, and I have other stuff that needs doing with higher urgency.

I still like you and I'll probably get over it eventually. But there you are. Don't piss people off if you want favors. That's how this particular MMORPG is played. Something Peter Damien, Moulton, and Guido den Broeder (to pick a few random examples, but there are plenty more) need to figure out.

QUOTE(No one of consequence @ Fri 23rd October 2009, 10:01am) *

Someone needs to put it up on Wiki (usually at WP:SPI). I would prefer to keep official business on-wiki, and I think Lar feels the same way.

That too.

AdjustShift disappeared Oct 22nd after this line of inquiry appeared. Since the beginning of this account on August 30 2008, he had never missed more that one day in a row until now.

He was, BTW, the same admin who blocked Thekohser's ability to edit his talk page last May, and notified him with a smarmy "have a nice day!" message.
