I'm not willing to believe that any admin (or at least any admin not already on the dark side) can successfully oppose Slim/Jayjg.

I'm not so sure. Like Bush and Cheney, this previously feared duo may be past the zenith of their power. As I noted earlier, Ashibaka faced down both SV and what's-his-name, the little pimply-faced guy, on the issue of blanking or deleting my user page.

It's possible; I was unblocked.

Ashabaka has no fear, though, and is the epitome of "admins who rawk the DGAF".

Definition. Ghoul : a person who is active on Wikipedia Review and who's main goal is to invade the privacy of a person on wikipedia, or someone who spends a lot of time going over diffs and offwiki postings to attempt to score points in an argument.

When it comes to ghoulitude, we already have our own most favored definitions:
  1. The host of a late night horror show who provides a bit of comic relief -- and not a little rock and roll -- between the commercials and the horror ! the horror ! already in progress.
  2. The Ghoul of Goodwill.
That's our story, and we're stickin' tuit.

Elaragirl isn't an admin, silly!

AFAIK, the current and former admins who have registered here under their WP account names (or close enough to be obvious) are Karmafist, Everyking, Jaranda, Sceptre, FCYTravis, NSLE (now Chacor), W.marsh, mailer_diablo, (Dave) gerard, KimvdLinde, Phil Sandifer, Golbez (still not banned from here, though no one seems to know why), CBDunkerson, Doc glasgow, interiot, James F. (Jdforrester), JzG (assuming that's actually him), Essjay, FreakOfNurture, FloNight, FireFox, Grue, Linuxbeak, Xyrael, Ryan Delaney, Ta bu shi da yu, the wub, thebainer, mackensen, Utcursch, Alkivar, Ashibaka, AmiDaniel, and Avillia.

And Deskana.

Elara: I've seen lots of things that put Cyde in the category of jackass. You don't have to look far. If you asked for a list, we could dedicate an entire thread to citing example after example...no wait, I think there already is at least one...no wait, two, three, four....

*runs*

I don't know about your own personal experience but I hate those who like to cook stuff behind the curtain and ask you to "trust" their judgement blindly with a patronizing tone like he and some of the worse cabalists do all the time *cough* Kelly Martin *cough* Tony *cough* SV...

BTW, after reading Bunchofgrapes' latest comment to Danny's RfA I'm adding him to my cool admins list.

Here.

Fuck! I get shooting pains whenever someone puts "admin" in the same sentence with my name.

Good admins hm...well, I have a list on my user page, but ''good'' has different connotations for me and you, I suspect.

But I think you know. The three best I can name would be

Ashibaka.
Mailer Diablo.
Firsfron.

Maybe throw Rama's Arrow into that mix.

Wow! What a nice thing to say!

(Sorry for resurrecting an old topic like this; it doesn't appear to be against the rules. That was really nice of her. That Elara is one classy lady.)

She logged in today, so maybe she'll do so again soon. And you can always e-mail her.

Elara-Girl, your avatar don't work. It's blocked from loading here.

By the way your self-photos are on there, too. I always expected you would look differently.

The admins that I think are the best, based on my experience on Wikipedia and on Wikipedia Review are as follows:

Dan100 - worked to review the Poetlister case, and get it all sorted out.
Sjakelle - was heavily involved in fairly closing AFD cases, and was positive in all things, looking for a win-win solution.
Karmafist (since de-sysopped and later banned) - was great in AFDs, helping newbies and generally being great to everyone.
Everyking (since de-sysopped) - stood up for me as a victim of newbie bashing when I first used Wikipedia, and pleaded with admins not to ban me. Has demonstrated a willingness to make Wikipedia a good place for everyone.
Linuxbeak - did his best during the Daniel Brandt saga to try to sort things out, then later did his best to sort out the deal with Blu Aardvark and Selina being returned. Both ultimately failed, but through no fault of his own. Was generally very nice to everyone.
Charles Matthews - has always been a fair admin and a good arbcom member.
Eloquence - his handling of the abuse of the spam blacklist was admirable, has always been a person keen on free speech, and on stopping people from censoring WR
Angela (Beesley) - sadly she seems to be getting wrapped up in all of this but seems to be a genuinely nice person.
Kelly Martin (no longer an admin) - as an admin she was abusive, but she has since explained why and done her best to demonstrate the various problems on Wikipedia, whilst at the same time making excuses for her own bad behaviour. If only more abusive admins could end up like her.
Cyde - similarly to Kelly Martin, seems to have "seen the light" and stopped being abusive. Sadly, with the Badsites arbcom case, he looks like he might get de-sysopped over it

I could give a worst list, but that's not what this thread is about.

I agree with Karmafist being one of the best, when he was there.

I don't know enough about the others.

Angela Beesley gets a neutral vote from me. She's okay in person. On-wiki, I have no idea, I've never interacted with her there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Req...erbox_wheel_war

He was later banned by User:Rebecca due to "subtle vandalism." This, of course, is WP's POV. You'd have to talk to Karmafist about what he thought of it all.

I still find it ironic that under WP:NPA and BADSITES that links to WR are banned yet the evidence used against Karmafist is a link to WR right on his User Page!
