I just wanted to let you all know that a complete version of the Jimbo-deleted debate over Cla68's AfD of the article autobiography of Gary Weiss is now available for you to read.

This AfD was, of course, the event that elevated Cla68 from "model Wikipedian" to folk hero status.

I've taken the additional step of highlighting the three comments that had the honor of being deleted even before Jimbo deleted the whole thing.

Two were made by User:Powder Blue Tuxedo (that was me), and one was made by our own User:Derktar.

When asked, Jimbo said it's common practice for "discourteous commentary" to be removed from Wikipedia. I invite you all to scour the AfD for any signs of discourtesy and post them here.

Haha, damn it's been awhile, I was so naive back then!

I remember reading all of the Mantanmoreland stuff on WR back then, a great deal of it from yourself Wordbomb and it seemed pretty interesting to me so I brought it up. The fact that SlimVirgin came along and deleted my comment was the first indicator that there was something wrong over there.

Cla68 rocks the highest.

No admin at his back, no Jimmy to whip out, no posse' to thug about. He called the tune. He even came out on Register and sang it loud, proud, and is the hardest working man in the WP business.

That Cla68 is not an admin says that things are very wrong at Wikipedia, starting with the person that meatpuppet rallied down his RFA out of spite.

What I find the most telling on that GW AFD page is the dancing around by Mantanmoreland with replies to make it appear that the sockpuppet investigation that is being talked about by Everyking, Kim Van Der Rocks, etc, is about his accusers and not about himself. He even deleted diffs to make distort the context.

Unbuhleaveable.

I changed my opinion on the hardest working man on WP. It's not Cla68, it's Mantanmoreland.

It's not easy dancing as fast as you can.

since jimmyhat is keeping the wrap over the uberembarassing G-Dub AFD, I'll rib for your pleasure and give props to the above quoted post by the Bomb. Where it is displayed for all those who trust but verify jimbo, lol.

also, User:PatrickByrne is in the Evidence page house at the same time as SlimChips is editing French Fried Potatoes (tribute to Byrne?). And PB's giving G-dett a run for his money in the latest installment of "did some journalists take a hypocratic oath or what?"...

The Churchill reference is surely a tip of the cap to the UK Wikipedians, and his days with Slimmy at Cambridge. One of the most bizarre wikicoincidences to ever grace the backpages of evidence.

Can't you just hear the Arby Silence as they worry and scurry about in panic over what the Cade Metz's, and horrors if a old-media stalwart picks up on the wikistorm, might come out with?

Well, if both of you are whom you have been claimed to be, where does that leave us?
