I know a Russian guy who says that the Russian Wikipedia is quite different from its English counterpart, a great deal obviously owing to significantly different outlooks and cultural biases between the two cultures. Oftentimes Russian articles are quite a bit better than their English-language counterparts as well.
Of course there are crazy people on the Russian Wiki as well. Apparently there was a would-be admin (who lost nominations but still had influence in the community) who said that all "Jewish sources" (that is, Jewish authors, etc.) should be ignored because they are anti-white. That's pretty much most racists, however much they claim they are "racialists" or "http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Nation_of_Islam#Sources" or whatever nuspeak of the day, it's nearly always the same neo-nazis, it's not about peoples' skin colours it's whatever http://google.com/images?safe=off&q=%22Follow+Your+Leader%22 said...
looks like Kannada Wikipedia has about 11,200 articles, up from 6,900 in August 2009. its the 106th largest. But the language is in the mid 30s at least in terms of native speakers.
In comparison, Marathi is around #15 most spoken, and its wiki has 34,000 articles.
