I don't think the two are comparable. Pokemon articles are certainly useless, but they are harmless and present no verification/sourcing issues.

The GNAA raises both of those questions. However you might decide them, there's clearly a debate over the GNAA that doesn't even arguably apply to Pokocruft.

Just a few closing updates for this thread:

Diego Grez has just "retired" from Wikipedia.

Of course, he only quit editing Wikipedia; he plans to devote his time to Wikinews. Diego contributes here as well.

The last straw for him appears to be the nomination of one of your articles for deletion. Personally, I don't see the point of having the article, but I guess he sees it differently.

Also, I created the Goatse Security (T-H-L-K-D) article a few days ago, and there doesn't appear to be any opposition so far.

Well, I find that rather offensive. I'll bet that you haven't even talked to many, if any, of us. If you had, you'd find that the vast majority of us can conduct relatively intelligent and informed debate, discussion, and even small talk.

I guess it doesn't matter all that much big-picture-wise, but I was curious if the guy is a model or an actual person (not that models can't be actual people, but you know what I mean). If he's an actual person, then that's what we might call "contextually unacceptable."

I think I can actually prevent you from putting it back, but of course, I wanted to give you the chance to help us avoid unnecessary fuss. I personally don't mind the idea of our having people here who purportedly represent GNAA in some capacity, but we do have rules against hate speech and so forth, so you'd have to be willing to avoid that at least.
