_ Editors _ Recent activity on Mistress Selina Kyle's Talk page
Posted by: thekohser
Apparently, Selina's pages on Wikipedia have recently been vandalized like http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Mistress_Selina_Kyle&diff=476739348&oldid=474478336 and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Mistress_Selina_Kyle&diff=476737654&oldid=476731482.
Selina communicated to me via PM on WR that she believed these actions to be my own. I would like to assure her and the rest of the WR and WP communities that these actions are not my own, and in fact, the first I became aware of them was via the PM received from Selina.
(In the future, please understand that were I to engage in any vandalism on Wikipedia, it would be of a much higher-brow nature than these sloppily-constructed drive-by jobs.)

Who is "Eric Corbett", the name signed to those edits?

True, those don't look like they're worth losing a perfectly good sock account or IP over.

"Jimbo Juice" is a term that VoC likes to use. Not saying whether or not it's him though

Yeah, it looks like a "stitch-up" as they say in England. Some troll trying to add fuel to the fire of sniping you two have been throwing at each other.

If the poster geolocates to the UK then I've got a damn good idea who it is, an ex-administrator.

Way way way too coherent to be VoC. Say what you want about Mr. VoC, but when it's him, you KNOW it's him.

Whatever happened to our favorite WR cretin? I haven't been accused of polishing the WMF's knob and wiping juice off my chin for like
ages.

Why love deletionism so much RMHED? You know it is pretty much like the cliquey editors/wp:GAMErs/cabal's official religion?

I don't love deletionism, I just detest the way certain ARS editors do everything they can to keep BLP's of barely notable people on Wikipedia.

I don't know the politics or the people and don't want to get involved - but the idea itself is a good one, even if there are some bad apples, there's definitely a bigger problem of deleting and moving to http://wikipediareview.com/?showtopic=36759&p=297167entry297167 ....
and the dickish thugs that just go around deleting stuff for fun and padding out an appearance of being suitable for administrator "heavily involved in Wikipedia's processes" blabl when they could do better actually trying to help people. -.- Deletionists just seem like lazy wannabe bully nerdboys

On the whole I agree, except when it comes to marginal BLP's, where if in doubt, delete, should be the maxim.

Selina, I wonder what you think about an article that looked approximately http://www.wikipediareview.com/Directory:Graffiti4hire, and was deleted after a !vote that looked http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Graffiti4Hire?
Is that an article that should have been rescued?
Posted by: Selina
bleh, that is a shame, they sound nice. Do you think they are very happy with the situation where they are unlikely to ever get an article now? Don't you think if you had suggested the article honestly and hadn't had such a bad history that people would have been inclined to discuss it more? If you had provided those references and stated youir conflict of interest in being paid to do it then, I don't think anyone could have reasonably turned down creating the article... You hurt your client more than helping them

Some interesting results:
http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/JohnnytheVandal - they apparently really hate not just WR but Mbz1 too, Amorrow maybe I dunno. Someone obsessive.

JtV is a troll. He's also a member in good standing of the WR. Most regulars know that.

It's funny how wrong you can get things, Selina. An impartial observer might conclude that you stretch your imagination just to find ways to critique me. The client in that case was very, very happy with the excellent effort I put forth, and they gave me a very high rating on Freelancer.com.
Both I and they believe if they had used "the proper channels" to request that an article be created on their behalf by a volunteer, just about the exact same thing would happen that happens to any of the other http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Declined_AfC_submissions.
