After almost Two Years B4 the Mess of Wikipedia, busting my brain and the more nether regions of my e-natomy trying to psych out its Psycho-Socio-Patho-Dynamics (PSPD), a number of patterns emerge from the flux and the mist that do not as quickly evanesce back into them.

Like many Contemptuary Online Games (COG's), Wikipedia is the result of guided and random crossover genetic algorhythmia and massive cis-&-trans-φatic mutations taking place within a cis-&-trans-pool of prior art-e-fixious life-forms, including antic anteχ simulacrum games like D&D and their ilk.

But fiends and enemies alike, or not, know that Wikiputia is different in many regurges from earlier d-genre-ations of Internet Fantasy & Science Fixion (IF&SF).

But how is it different exactly ???

So let's mark it down for later examination — the raucously laughable pretension of Wikipediots to give a hoot about the ∑ Of Knowledge (∑OK), when there is nothing that appears to drive them more than their Abject Fear Of Knowledge (AFOK).

Then there's another highly touted mark of distinction that I was reminded of a couple of nights ago when I saw a TV programme about World of Warcraft (Dubya²). Wikipedia is a Free Online Game (FOG) as opposed to a game like Dubya² that is a Subscription Online Game (SOG).

Still, I'm looking for differentia on the genus OG that drive the dynamics of our e-minently specious Wikipedia in a much more deteminate and extra-ordinarily distinctive fashion.

According to my customary mode of data compression — exploiting techniques that Mother Necessity forced me to invent on account of my otherwise dim, all too dim memory — I have as usual managed to code most of the marks that I want to recall in the jot and title of this thread.

I will of course expand on these re*marks sooner or later — no particular hurry, I rechnen …

Elements Of Feudalism (EOF) —

Let me see if I can remember the elements of feudal economy and society that I most likely first learned about in some 6th or 7th grade Government, Social Studies, or World History class.

For simplicity, but mostly because I am currently a bit fuzzy on the details, let's skip the more complex arrangements and negotiations that occur between Top and Middle management, and focus for the nounce on the extreme estates of the socio-economic order.

We have what might be called a Social Contract between the Lord and the Fly, er, Serf. Of course, it's not likely to be written down, not such that both parties are equally conversant with the full import of its articles, dots, jots, and tildes, at any rate. So it's likely to be a Tacit Understanding to the extent that both sides understand it.

What is the tender of the exchange between the Lord and the Serf?

• The Serf obtains the use of a plot of real estate called a fee, feud, or fief.
• The Lord obtains the fealty, the homage, the service of the Serf in exchange for the fief.
