According to the AN/I discussions, he was indef-blocked six times, and then unblocked each time... And according to the block log
, the unblocks usually occurred within 24 hours. Hey, I wonder if that's some sort of record!
I guess he's good at sounding reasonable and apologetic when he wants to, eh? You often hear stories about people who get blocked, and within minutes they're on IRC, making a huge case out of it... However, it looks like he's probably gone for good this time.
Thing is, each time this story is played out, the person learns from it, and assuming what they learn isn't "forget the whole stupid thing forever" (recommended
), it's often "next time, follow their rules, work within the system, rise in the hierarchy, and ultimately try to bring it down from the inside." Unfortunately, the system is rigged, and the chances of someone being able to actually do that are so slim (pun intended
), there's just no way to cost-justify it in terms of the potential waste of time and effort.
I just wonder how many admins c
ir worst at Wikipedia are actually sock puppets of former "trolls," deliberately stinking up the place to avenge a long-ago slight against them.
