As for also joining #wikipedia, I don't know if that's a good idea. Wikipedia might not approve of such a thing, and it might be more trouble than its worth.
I see no reason why we should enter #wikipedia. Myself, I refuse to go in there any more; I've been in the channel a total of two times, and the level of incivility and trollitude was sufficient that I am loathe to enter there a third time. Because of my involvement with this board, I am no longer a cabal-approved member, so I could reasonably expect much trolling diected at me.
Also, most of the time my computer is even on, I am connected to freenode. If I'm not in the channel, you should be able to reach me by /msg. I use the handle Blu_Aardvark.

But, of course, they aren't trying to censor us...
Lol. Actually, they had a very practical reason for not wanting us to use that particular channel. Not necessarily to censor us, but definately to make our voice less likely to be heard. See, if our channel was #wikipediareview, it would show up in the channel list, if sorted alphabetically, right among the #wikipedia official channels. And heaven forbid someone would come to IRC, see #wikipediareview, and actually learn something.
