DO NOT VOTE until you read the following blurbs. Here we are once again, ladies and gentlemen of the Academy. To recap, the WP:DICK of Distinction Award goes to Wikipedia admins who glory in the abuse of their power, make corrupt deals and brazenly game the system, either to push POV, or simply because they can. For this coveted award, each voter may cast essentially three votes, by voting for both the main WP:DICK, and also a runner-up (ew.) You have the option of splitting your votes, 2 to the former and 1 for the latter, or granting all three to your favorite contestant by selecting him or her in both categories. The winner will be that WP:DICK who gets the highest total in both categories. The Tag-Team award goes to those who have formed various and sundry cabals, the better to push POV with. The Miss Incongeniality award goes to the contestant with the most egregious violations of WP:CIVIL. The Vexatious Litigant award honors the contestant who most routinely and effectively abuses the conflict resolution apparatus in order to pursue an agenda. The Straight Shooter award goes to the least corrupt and most conscientious admin. The Cojones de latón award recognizes the rank and file Wikipedian who displays the most valor in confronting the forces of corruption at Wikipedia. And finally, the TL;DR Award goes to the contestant who most devastatingly bores the shit out of us in the course of making long-winded arguments over obscure points. All right, dear colleagues, prepare to vote. Let's have a good clean fight.

I really think that giving Ottava the TL;DR award would send the wrong message; it implies that his comments would be more tolerable if only they were shorter! Surely that prize should go to Newyorkbrad for penning the " Manipulation of BLPs" ArbCom decision. If Ottava wins anything, it should be Miss Incongeniality. This has been the banner year for his prolonged campaign of nastiness. In the past, it got him banned from Wikipedia and desysopped on Wikiversity. This year alone, it got him indef-blocked on Wikiversity, indef-blocked on Commons, and restricted here on WR. I hate to enable him, but goddamnit this kid is playing in a whole other league.

And after the first day of voting, Fæ has emerged with 46 points, a convincing lead, in the main event. The question is, can Fæ sustain this standing as front-runner DICK for the entire length of the election?
Meanwhile, Will Beback is drooping in the runner-up DICK position, with 25 points. However, Will is going for the trifecta, with a strong showing in the Vexatious Litigant race where he presently leads with 15 votes, and Will's tag-team is presently tied with the Ultra-Zionists in the hotly contested tag-team event.
From the early returns, it looks like WebHamster is the rodent to beat in the Miss Incongeniality contest. In the Straight Shooter event, perennial favorites Alison and Scott MacDonald are neck and neck with 8 votes each. Peter Damian has an early lead in the Cojones polling, while in the TL:DR race, the leading yawner is Newyorkbrad with 17.

It's a shame that MichaelNetzer (T-C-L-K-R-D)
isn't better known, because if anybody deserves the TL;DR Award, it's him.

QUOTE(Tarc' (The dirty troll) post='295006 @ Wed 25th January 2012, 7:22pm) QUOTE The Palestine warriors (Malik Shabazz, Asad112, Nableezy, Nishidani, Zero0000) [ 6 ] Well Mila, Wikifan, and Shalom account for half of that, but I'm hard-pressed to think of 3 others who have dipped into that much kool-aid. The dirty troll is lying as usual (IMG: smilys0b23ax56/default/hrmph.gif) . I voted for Georgewilliamherbert and Off2riorob, and if moderators are able to see the votes I request my words to be confirmed please. This post has been edited by mbz1:

But just the same, this guy has a point: QUOTE(Ego Trippin' (Part Two) @ Tue 24th January 2012, 5:08pm) Surely that prize should go to Newyorkbrad for penning the " Manipulation of BLPs" ArbCom decision. Newyorkbrad really made history with that decision. The arbcom had a golden opportunity to finally address the long-festering problem of BLP abuse, and Brad, speaking for the arbcom, produced a masterpiece of inconsequential, masturbatory evasive verbiage. Reading that decision was like eating five pounds of Miracle Whip.

QUOTE(Rhindle @ Wed 25th January 2012, 1:15pm) QUOTE(It's the blimp, Frank @ Wed 25th January 2012, 10:12am) I hope I don't sound like a complete moron here, but what is Fae's claim to fame? Is it a man or a woman (as far as we know)? I must have missed the threads where Fae is discussed.
this should give you a heads up on what's been going on"And what's good for suspension bondage is also good for hogtie bondage." Wish I'd seen that before voting, enjoyable read.

You seem to unblock me at convenient times. BTW I did vote for you, but on reconsideration I'd probably change it to the ARSehole crew. Most of you are either banned or irrelevant, while they are actively and currently fucking up the project with every My Little Pony or Youtube sensation that gets an article kept. And now with two days of voting, Fæ looks unstoppable with 52 points in the DICK division, trailed by Will Beback with 33 and Sandstein panting behind them at 21. Will is faring better in the Vexatious Litigant event, which he dominates with 17 votes to Ottava's 14, and in the fiercely contested Tag-Team competition, Will and his Retinue are in a dead heat with the Ultra-Zionists at 8 votes each. In that latter event, we cannot discount the possibility of a surge by either the Palestine Warriors or the Article Rescue Squadron, currently at 6 votes each, and the Climate Changers with 5 votes have also been very consistent competitors over the years. For Miss Incongeniality, the competition comes down to three leading contenders: WebHamster, presently ahead with 10, versus Baseball Bugs and perennial favorite Ottava at 9 each. Alison and Scott MacDonald are neck and neck for Straight Shooter, each having racked up 10 votes, and Peter Damian continues to dominate the Cojones competition with 11. Finally, Ottava is giving Newyorkbrad a run for his money in the TL;DR event, at 18 and 20 votes respectively.
