Holy shit!

I know the WP folks will get all pissy for my having said this, but I don't think any sane person can look at this situation and not think the AfDs on this guy's no-doubt-autobiographical article(s) helped to tip this guy over the edge. I mean, this dude makes Mark Binmore look like a "harmless crank."

It's too bad that WR is all but a dead site now - there was a time not long ago when an incident like this would get things revved up around here like nobody's business. Maybe it'll be like that again someday, but I'm afraid that day will come too late to take much advantage of this particular story.
