Already an inpouring of votes and Giano is already being opposed fairly quickly despite support from multiple arbs and checkusers. Interesting. I think the arbs are just token voting to make it look like they weren't trying to sink Giano's candidacy at all. QUOTE(Guy's oppose) Oppose, sorry. I was all set to support, but Giano's refusal to accept policy on posting of private email, coupled with the appearance of grudge-bearing agains certain individuals, means I cannot have confidence in Giano maintaining the requisite level of discretion as an Arbitrator. Guy (Help!) 00:05, 3 December 2007 (UTC) Bit rich coming from the guy who betrayed Privatemusing, don'tcha think? To most amusing thing is the amount of support Ryan Postlethwaite is getting. I love that Wikipedians think that people like him are suitable for running a top ten website. This post has been edited by KamrynMatika: Mon 3rd December 2007, 12:12am

QUOTE(KamrynMatika @ Mon 3rd December 2007, 12:07am) To most amusing thing is the amount of support Ryan Postlethwaite is getting. I love that Wikipedians think that people like him are suitable for running a top ten website. Judging from the opposes, if he doesn't succeed, it will be thanks to his support for Durova. Ouch. It's got to hurt, because Ryan did his level best to pitch the ball straight down the middle of the lane, as he usually does. Trouble here was there was no viable center - either Durova was to be desysoped or not - so his comments were seen as advocating a strong pro-Durova position dressed in apologies. The smart money - Newyorkbrad - disapproved the block, but took no position in the RfC. Had he done so, he would have racked up a number of opposes by now no matter which side he took. Newyorkbrad is an obvious win, probably Deskana too, it'll be interesting to see if the people rise up and throw support behind Giano. The hardliners are already coming down on him.

Is there beside the drama serounding him some reasons to want Giano as an arbitrator. His answers are articulate but I am wondering what does he have to offer. Just wondering.
