Is Charlie Sheen busy this week?

Posted by: Herschelkrustofsky

Charlie Sheen keeps busy, which accounts for his remarkable longevity.

I should mention that I am keeping this thread as a placeholder of sorts until the domain issue is sorted out, so that we can hold free and fair elections. Needless to say, I am convinced that the so-called [air quotes] "failure to pay" for the "expired domain name" is a clever ploy by David Gerard, intended to disrupt the WP:DICK of Distinction pageant. But we shall have the last laugh.

And now it's sorted out. I am allowing a few days for the stragglers to find the site again. In the meantime, some gratuitous pre-election commentary: I note that there are important changes this year. What, no nominations for David Gerard? None for JzG? Even SlimVirgin is there only in the tag-team category, attempting to reprise her 2008 win with Crum. In short, new talent is on the rise at WP.

A major problem at Wikipedia is the uneven enforcement of policy, so that Wikipedia becomes "a government of men, not laws." This gives rise to the "groupies in reverse" phenomenon decried by Doc Glascow.

Is it too late to add Hipocrite to the Will Beback Retinue Team?

Posted by: Herschelkrustofsky

Good call, but sorry, nominations are closed.

Those lunatics have been given too much attention already. And Crum is her sock, and I'm opposed to giving socks an award. If you want to add an extra award for evil usage of socks, the only possible winner would be the SOPA vote anyway.

Maybe it's too late now but I'd contest Herbythyme's nomination. He's not an admin on WP. I know it was said that we should cover other sites this time, but for our purposes things elsewhere should be supplemental to WP activity, not instead of it. He's done very little on WP in the last year and virtually nothing relevant to straight shooting, even in a non-admin capacity.

Having said that, I agree that he is a good chap. I'd like to see him post here, especially about Commons and Meta (we tend to ignore Meta).

{{fact}}

A toady, a meatpuppet, undoubtedly. But scarcely the same person.

I think someone ishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Miscellany_for_deletion/User:Scott_MacDonald before I can stand in this election.

You don't seem to have much to worry about there. I would worry about those double-reverse groupies.

How can "5 pillars" be a "sole ideology"? There are 5 of them.

Okay, here's an even snappier question: how did a fucking ADHD gamer nerd http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:PeterSymonds&diff=prev&oldid=472856090
like KoshVorlon manage to become a reviewer and Huggle patroller??

Do you guys realize how many complaints about him there are on various noticeboards?

(I would "out" the little bastard, but he's nobody, and deserves no attention.
Yes, I know his real name, where he lives, etc.)

I think those you just get more or less automatically by asking whoever. I was going to pick on him some but then I read his user page and actually felt a bit bad for him.

Agreed. And if you think that's horrible, I've got a video of him, trying to sing a Christian song......
in the interests of decency and ear protection, I will not post this video. (Unless, of course, you evil
bastards demand that I do so. evilgrin.gif )

Now, how about that election thing? Remember that?

Of course you have to post it and his other "dox," which he has moronically made freely available on other sites. Otherwise, you would deny him what every wikipediot desires most: his chance to crawl up on his cross and play at martyrs. "O! Eric and the other haters at WR are outing me in their anti-free culture, pro-SOPA campaign! Woe, woe is me!" Then after a few weeks, days, hours or minutes (depending on the depths of his wiki addiction) he starts using one of his socks as his new main account and goes back to wiki-wanking as before. On the off chance his prior account is revealed (usually by another editor in a dispute or opposing his RFA), he'll claim "wikihounding" by the evil minions of The Copyright Regime, and then will promptly revert to another one of his socks. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Talk about a road rutted up to the axles . . . .

I won't do it, if you promise to tell us who MuZemike really is.

Now, THAT GUY is REALLY evil.

Statement of support for the tag team of Will Beback, Fladrif and MathSci: one of the worst problems at Wikipedia is gaming the system, trying to manipulate the arbcom and other policy agencies or discussion boards in order to win POV battles. That is precisely what these dirtbags were doing with TimidGuy arbcom case.

Posted by: Sololol

A ringing endorsement for the Israeli ultra-nationalist clique as the most deserving candidates for the Tag Team award in years. No other group could tie up so many loose ends into one self-righteous slime vat of Arab-hating POV pushing.

The email leak, suspect at first, checked out as real and showed that yes, Virginia, there really is a "pro-Israel" group of editors and banned sock-puppeteers collaborating to off their wiki-foes, push POV information and harass opponents. Hasbara Fellows? Oh they've got' em. Veterans of the CAMERA scandal? Say hello to Dajudem/Stellarkid. Israeli settlers? But of course. And let's not forget the all important Jayjg.

With countless AE threads, sockpuppet investigations, ARBCOM bickering, edit wars and general ugliness all contributed over their years of activity this group really deserves some recognition. Let's not forget the wonderful DYK's brought to us by Mbz1 (after input from Jayjg, of course), nominated by Brocolli, allowing WP's frontpage to be used as a springboard for quasi-racist puff pieces.

And they'll never get busted for it. That, my friends, is award-winning tag teaming.

Yes, please, every fool dry.gif who believedhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sol_Goldstone , everybody who supports criminals hacking private emails vote for me!

I won't have this thread degenerating into another I/P smackdown, so I'm closing it. Voting will commence very soon.
