I think the only thing missing from this dramarama is for Jimbo to come crashing into this, in his usual rogue elephant style, and reverse all sanctions against Stroynaya Deva. Unfortunately, it does not look as this will happen; there is some reason to believe she is no longer in favor in the court of the God-King. Pity. She was so good at delivering "teh dramahz".

I'm hoping for SlimVirgin to launch into a tirade against the Arbcom - Jimbo to crash into the fray and denounce her in defense of his elected protégés - and for Slim to turn on Jimbo - resulting in a massive public shoot-out between Slim and Jimbo where the two of them reveal much confidential material they had been hushing up for years as weapons - which hits the blogosphere and then the media - which causes much more drama and dissatisfaction on WP - bringing WR new readers and productive angry members who then go forth and evangelize the problems of Wikipedia to a wider audience - resulting in Wikipedia becoming even more of an internet joke and pariah as people open their eyes to the widespread problems.

Second best option would be a radical reform of all of Wikipedia's failed processes.

I was amused to see Jayjg arriving at the party only after the decision sealing SV's fate was all but made and far too late for his words of wisdom to have any influence (assuming anyone in any position of authority at Wikipedia still pays attention to what Jayjg has to say)

And even then, the best he can come up with as an alternative is the remedy in Lance's case which was a topical ban - how that would be applicable in SV's case is an open question.

So a half hearted, and belated, intervention by Jayjg on SV's behalf. Just enough for him to be able to tell her that he tried.

In previous incidents with SV (like when she retired and such), many flocked to her talk page and worshipped her. Now, I am actually pleasantly surprised by the lack of worshipping, a sure sign that she has lost a lot of support in the community.

SlimVirgin has been a colossal negative for Wikipedia on many fronts. Most notably by leading the culture of capricious bullying that permeates the place. Slim represents the worst of the manipulative Game-Players who came to rule the site, during Wikipedia's evolution into a ubiquitous mainstream website 2005-7. Thus sabotaging any vestiges of the Larry Sanger-style conscientious encyclopedia that may have still lingered.

Anyone shedding tears over this, wrongly believing that Slim represents some "voice of the righteous", should just consult the archives.

A classic example of bad behavior was when Slim came up against the Featured Article folks, especially Sandy Georgia. When Slim didn't get her way on some Featured Article issue, she maliciously unblocked a genuinely insane stalker - who was harassing Sandy on the mistaken belief that Sandy was some rival from the past. This was an act of pure calculated revenge on the part of Slim, an attempt to undermine SandyGeorgia and hence destabilize the Featured Article process.

Such acts are everywhere. And they are a disgrace.

FT2 is obviously flailing away at trying to establish ArbCom as a legitimate, effective governance body in Wikipedia.

Unless you are referring to a certain medieval apparatus I assume you mean "failing".

"Flailing away" is a perfectly acceptable usage, meaning to agitatedly but ineffectively try to affect some change.

Let's ignore the dungeon weaponry for a bit, it was probably in poor taste. What I meant is that the changes taking place do not fit the previous description, but rather that of a kangaroo court.
