_ Forum Information Archive _ Entire ProBoards forum locked?

I wasn't able to reply to any posts on the ProBoards forum. Have they all been locked? I am asking this because my computer is playing up, and its also possible that that's just what it looks like when you're banned. I couldn't post a new topic or reply to anything or anything.

Its not necessarily a bad thing though. Might help to make the transition smoother. I just wish that the whole banning/censoring thing had waited until after this was set up. Oh well.

Yes, all of the forums have been locked down; no replies or new topics. This was one of the things that Igor and I agreed upon. I felt it would be nicer to, rather than have him delete the board once we got settled over here, just keep it locked, as an archive for historical interest. Yes, we will still want to copy any relevant posts to this board, because ProBoards might not keep an inactive board for too long.

Okay then that's good. Pity that there's no announcement to that effect. Some people might be confused.

But I guess since its a free forum, then there's no reason to ever delete it really.

Why doesn't Igor open up the board now?

I don't follow this. It's been agreed to lock the old forum. We don't want it to stay as a live forum in competition to this one, surely. If there are any old threads that we want to keep going, presumably they can be copied over.
