Yes; but remember, this is Wikipedia we're talking about here, where odd is "the new normal." Also, I would point out that it is absolutely ridiculous to mention hacking and vandalizing WP in the same sentence. None of the skills of a hacker are required in order to vandalize WP. Zero. That's precisely why it gets so much vandalism. Now if you want to crash the damn thing, that's different.

I don't get it. They've identified someone as a vandal, then someone else pointed out it was wrong, and the guy himself said he doesn't care. And he's an admin? Huh?

The guy obviously meant hacking in a different sense:
QUOTE(that dude)

The claim his administrative skill is browsing new articles for deletion seems more likely a brag of hacking any academic interest here.

I'm assuming he means that Kevin1243 is dissuading interest from academics with his article deletions.

Other than that, it seems like a typical case of WP:OWN and a user getting pissed off when anyone dares to suggest that 'his' article is less than perfect.

The point was someone thought Kevin was a vandal and so went around stalking him, trying to get his real life contact info.
