This time at least when the sysop powers were changed, it said it was Jaranda.
What's the point in changing names if everyone knows who you are? |

I got an email exposing who I was, my new account was too obvious, so I decided to tell the truth, and get my tools back. People almost never quit the project anyways, i know alot of editors who are under new accounts.

This is completely outrageous. Have they forgotten that Jaranda went out with an act of vandalism? Do they have any concerns whatsoever about a person with so little foresight and such a propensity towards overreacting? I figured he'd come back and get the tools back until I saw the vandalism; then I figured there's no way they'd be so irresponsible as to resysop him after that, but I was wrong. It's simply shameful. Jaranda used his admin tools to vandalize, and he is given the tools back on request.

Okay, so Jaranda deleted an article that shouldn't have been deleted just so that he would get desysopped because he didn't want to be a sysop on a project that he didn't support.
He then quit, and was no longer a sysop. Then he apologised, and was reinstated. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I think that sometimes you need to try to prove a point. Sometimes people just don't get it unless you make things really clear. And sometimes that WP:POINT rule is manipulated just to try to make sure that the whole point you were trying to make is twisted around against you. Indeed, I have to question whether WP:POINT is ever a valid rule. Should Jaranda be reinstated as a sysop? Probably not. But then again, it probably doesn't hurt to have him back. |

I'm interested in Jaranda reasons for apologizing. He expressed a good deal of resistance and resolve in his posting here. I don't see where he over-reacted. I know quiting and unquiting is a pretty common occurrence on WP. Maybe Jaranda can explain what happened?

I only apologized for deleting the article, that's because I acted like a fool, jimbo should apologize as well, even though i doubt he will, i'm avoiding jimbo anyways and I still don't think he's a good leader for the project, he lost his touch with the community and doesn't know ANYTHING what is going on in there.
